Check the speaker/s first. If found OK; check and replace the damaged component/s at its audio output section circuit board. If needy, replace this board as card basis. This depends on whether you have digital cable box or not. If you have a Digi Cable Box look for the red/white RCA output and connect this via RCA cable to the Red/White Audio input on your surround.
If just Basic Cable look for a red/white audio output on the back of your televison. connect this to the Red/white in on your surround. Could be called tv in or auxillary.

Make sure in the menu that you have the tuner set to Cable Mode, then auto program again. Hope this helps.

Do you have a different audio source to test with (such as a tape player or vcr?) . That way you can verify if the DVD player is putting out audio versus whether the TV audio input is bad, or if the TV is configured to use HDMI for audio input.
Some TVs give you a setup menu option where the audio comes in through the HDMI port versus the (RCA) component ports. If yours is like that, then you should be able to switch that in the TV menu.

Did ever worked properly?Is it wright one for unit that you have,you can check that in your owner manual,if not I will go back to dealer and ask for replacment.
