A blinking WPS on the router usually means it is actively waiting for a device to connect. For security reasons, it is best to set a time limit for how long WPS pairing can remain active in the router, or to turn WPS off completely and connect only with a standard WPA/WPA2 security key.
Once a device is connected via WPS, it is as secure as if it was connected with a standard security key. WPS is only there as a way to make connecting to routers easier with a shorter password that is supposed to only work for short time while WPS pairing is enabled. ALL OTHER TIMES, WPS SHOULD BE TURNED OFF!
There is a free utility for Windows and Mac which allows you to pass the WPS protection more info and download link: WPS Connect for PC Windows 7 8 10 Mac Computer Free Download Techforpc com
To load the Dell TrueMobile 2300 Wireless Broadband Router's default settings, hold down the reset button on the router for at least five seconds. While the unit resets, the Power light blinks.
The Linksys WRT160N has WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup). If you are using WPA-PSK encryption (recommended), then you can easily connect the C4780 to your wireless network using WPS:
1) On the Linksys router, press the WPS button that is top of the case just under the Cisco label. When the LED on the button starts to blink, then the WPS process has started.
