Sorry, no easy answer here. But if your "friend" has the code you're all set. If not, do you know the location within 150 feet of where the code was entered in the GPS? Yes? Go there and it will unlock automatically.

If you have a Garmin Lock on your nuvi,
zumo or StreetPilot c500 series and you have forgotten your 4 digit PIN number
you can unlock the device by returning to your Security Location. The Security
Location is the location that you set when you first enabled the Garmin Lock on
your device. Returning to the Security Location will unlock your device.
If you have forgotten your PIN and Security Location please contact Product
Support for assistance. Please note we will require a copy of the receipt and
there will be a charge to unlock the device as this issue is not covered by the
warranty.
