42HDS69 plasma Hitachi, volume sounds like it burps or gargles at times

Its the Aud io module. It's not expensive usually first board where the main power line goes in. It's probably the smallest board in the TV. I told my repairman the problem and he told me to change that and he even ordered the part for me and I changed it and it's been better that it ever was. If you're in LA his name id Johnny's TV repair in Hollywood. Honest and pro. 323-660-9900

Denon avr-1708 receiver heats up and shuts off when volume turned up passed 0.0db or +0.5db. i am running 6-8" sonance 6oh speakers and have a fan blowing across the top of the receiver. it only...

Are you trying to kill it? A device has only so many emergency shut-offs it can withstand.

How are the spaces around the top, underside and back for ventilation?

0 dB isn't normally 'normal' volume.

I wonder if the fan is a self-defeating work-around because the noise might make you want to crank it up so higher so you can hear it.

Apple TV? Is it a dynamically-compressed audio signal? That would raise the average volume.

STEP2 Press the [INFO] button.

The iO button will blink number of times indicating the

number of each digit of the code number. Each digit is

separated by a 1 second interval of the iO button being

turned off.

Example :One blink, three blinks and eight blinks with

an interval of 1 second of iO button being

My base unit keeps shutting off after about 8 minutes. Sometimes it comes on in a minutes and other times it must be reboot (unplugged.) Is it defective?

I just had the same issue - i've had them for about 18 months and they were working fine with my regular tv set - connected the red/white analog plugs to the back of the tv and then other 3.5mm end to back of base... but now, i just bought an LG hdtv and had to reverse that connection... 3.5mm to the tv and the analogs back to the base... worked ok for about 10 mins then the base shut off... seems that the volume setting on the hdtv wasnt up high enough to "register" with the base - base thought nothing was happening so it automatically shut off for "inactivity" - so, when plugged into tv, I turned the tv volume way up to 100.... seems to have worked - just need to be sure to turn the volume on the tv back down before removing the headphone jack!

Sanyo TV I need a code for my optimum cable remote control to turn on and off the TV with their remote control.

Here's the instructions and codes plus an alternative method if one of the codes below do not work.

Three-Digit Code Programming Method:
  1. Turn on the TV.

  2. Press and hold the TV and DONE buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. The iO button will light.

  3. With the iO button lit, point the remote at the TV and enter the TV's three-digit code (see code table below). The TV will shut off when the correct code is entered.

  4. Verify by pressing the SEL button. This should turn the TV on and off.

  5. Press the TV button to store the three-digit code. The iO button will blink twice to confirm that the code is stored.
Codes: 007, 053, 057, 082, 020, 239

Auto Search Programming Method Use this method if the three-digit code method does not successfully program your remote control:
  1. Turn on the TV.

  2. Press the CBL and DONE buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. The iO button will light.

  3. Hold down CH+ and release it as soon as the TV powers off.

  4. Press CH- five times (the television may or may not turn on again as you do this). If the television does not power, turn it on manually before proceeding.

  5. Press CH+ one at a time until the television shuts off.

  6. Press TV to save the code.
To save time, the Auto-Scan function is trying codes as fast as possible while CH+ is being held down. It scans so fast that you may pass the desired code while holding down the CH+ button. Steps 4-5 allow you fine tune the auto-scan so you reach the correct code.

Volume Control

check the up volume button on the set. it sounds like it is stuck in the on position. You can open the back and disconnect the wire harness to the control buttons. This will verify if the volume up button is the problem.
