My Eden Pure Gen3 Heater has worked great for years. Now, I start it on HIGH top setting, and it immediately will blow hot air, but after 3 mins or so, cooler air starts to blow.

Answered By someone else on Fixya.......in 2014
I recently fixed this issue for a family member on this exact model, the same issue, it would heat fine for 15 minutes and then cold blowing air would follow afterwards non stop, and when we powered down the unit and restarted it, it did the same exact thing. ( What worked for me ) was ordering a new " Thermostat " which is a white rectangle looking plastic thing with 2 blue wires coming out of it, you can find You-Tube video's showing you how to remove the Eden-pure gen3 cover housing easily, my total cost of this do it yourself repair was just under $20 as of 10/10/14 your cost could vary depending on different factors.
1st...unplug the unit....duh ! lol
Once the housing is removed, look at the top of the unit and locate the 2 blue wires coming out near the front, remove the 2 top screws holding in the thermostat, gently pull out the old thermostat but don't disconnect any blue wires yet, put the new thermostat in facing the exact same way as the old one, re-tighten the 2 screws, next follow one blue wire ( One is longer than the other ) to its location on the block, determine if its the shorter or longer wire, disconnect just 1 wire with a Phillips screw driver, and replace it with the like sized blue wire from the new thermostat, tighten but not over tight ! next do the same for the next blue wire on block.
After thermostat is secure and wiring is secure, put the cover and panels back together......and plug it in and test it again....... Hope this works for you as it did for me.
Good Luck !

INSTALLING A NEW THERMOSTAT

WHEN BUYING A NEW THERMOSTAT THE WIRING MY SEEM CONFUSING MOST TIMES IF THE WIRES ARE PUT ON THE SAME TERMINALS AS OLD SUCH AS IF RED WENT TO TERM. R. IF YELLOW WENT TO Y. ETC. THE MOST COMMON CONFIGURATIONS ARE RED-POWER24VOLT-R
WHITE-W HEAT/ COMMON-C GREEN-FAN-G
YELLOW-COOLING-Y
PLACING THE WIRES ON THE NEW THERMOSTAT THE SAME AS OLD ONE WAS WIRED WILL WORK HOPE THIS IS HELPFUL TO HOMEOWNERS. A PROGRAMABLE THERMOSTAT CAN SAVE HUNDREDS EVERY YEAR.

Re. Vintage Hardwick gas range oven. I am attaching three pictures. One is a picture of the thermostat wire that resembles a miniature thermocouple. The other two pictures are different angles of the pilot...

Only one image was posted.

The thermostat and the thermocouple bulb are two separate items.

The thermocouple has a small bulb (like a thermostat) that tells the main burner that the pilot is lit and the main burner valve can open. That bulb always has a tip poking into the flame from above.

The thermostat regulates the flame of the burner to maintain a set temperature by being somewhere around the middle of the oven cavity.

I need a wire diagram to replace an oven thermostat in a hot point RB 525 R2W electric range, please help!! I already have the new part I just need a picture of the wiring connected

If you have an exact replacement for the thermostat. Draw a diagram of the wires and the location of the connections take a picture of the thermostat with your cell phone. Then compare the drawing to the picture to be sure you have all wires .once you have them all . Then if you have wires that are the same color but hooked up to different connections. Simply place a piece of tape on one of them and make note of it on your drawing . then Unhook the wires and reconnect them to new thermostat. MAKE SURE THE POWER IS off at circuit breaker.

Hotpoint WD860 for F-13 solutions

It is a tricky job but the heater thermostat switch has tripped as it senses something burning. Probably a little bit of fluff on the heater element inside the heater unit.. There are 2 switches on top of this heater unit. One where the 2 blue wires goon the top left of the 3rd picture and the other which has a tall black wire connector on shown in the middle of the 3rd picture. Remove that connector and undo the holding screw . You can then reset the switch.
The switch is a small circular switch hidden beneather the connector on the photos. This thermostat switch has a yellow. red dot ontop of it. If you use a small pin or needle and press into that dot you will hear it tick back into place. you have reset the switch now.
You will probably need to clean the inside of the heater element unit to get rid of the fluff particles or it will keep switching off.
To take this apart you will need a set of Star screwdrivers. Its a bit tricky but you will be able to undo the star screws and take them all out. I will add some photos to show you the unit apart.
You can see the build up of fluff on the photos i have added from my hotpoint WD860 heater unit.

This is a tricky job and takes about an hour due to the screw being awkward to take off and put on again but mine hasnt faulted for 2 years since sorting it out.
You can buy a new Thermostat switch which is about 10 pounds sterling from Hotpoint or other

Hotpoint washer dryer wdf 740 showing error code F-13

F13 error code is a dryer NTC problem.

What you need to do is take off the top of the washer. From there you will see the dryer chamber on top. Towards the front of this is the NTC it will have 2 thin wires going to it.

Make sure the wires are on ok and not broken. If the wiring is fine then you will need a multimeter and test the NTC. It should give a reading in Kohms.

If the NTC is fine then its possible the control board at the back is the problem.

I installed a new Honeywell RTH7600 thermostat from old Honeywell thermostat. It shows heat is on but no air is coming out of vents. I dont even hear system working. I have a heat pump system. I set the...

Are you completely sure you have the Reversing Valve wire in the right place? Some reversing valves are powered for heat, some for cool. Make sure you know which yours is, or perhaps change that setting (see the manual) on the thermostat to try it.

ALSO, sounds like the FAN wire may not be in the right place either. Did you carefully note the wire colors on the old stat before you started, or perhaps take a photo?
