Assuming the power supply is the correct type, the next likely thing to go wrong is the socket on the keyboard. Can you get it to light up if you wobble the connection to the keyboard. If it comes on momentarily then the socket is faulty and will need to be repair. A relatively simple soldering job if you are not competent in doing the job your local music store should be able to help. I do a lot of these in UK cost around 30.00GBP including parts.
What is the make and model? The fault may be the power supply. Try to connect a car's 12 volt bulb momentarily across the power supply's output connector.
