Instructions to clear this information in Safari in iOS can be found on Apple's website: Safari web settings

These are the instructions from the "Additional Information" section:
To clear your history from Safari, tap Settings > Safari > Clear History.
To clear all cookies from Safari, tap Settings > Safari > Clear Cookies and Data.
To clear other stored information from Safari, tap Advanced > Website Data > Remove All Website Data.

You can go into "Managing my Favorites" then select the ones you want to delete. Some browsers only let you remove one item at a time, so be patient and go with the flow.
