If this is a BIOS password, you'll need to open up the tower and look for a jumper that says 'reset bios' or 'reset CMOS'. Move the jumper to the other pins and turn the computer on. NOTE: check to make sure your model needs to be turned on or not. When it beeps, turn it off. Then move the jumper back to its original position and start normally. Hope this helps.

This sounds like you have no operating system on your laptop. I bet someway, just as I did before, you have lost your operating system, and it needs to be reinstalled on your computer.

Try to start up with the windows XP CD in the drive, it will give you some options to reinstall or repair XP. If this doesnot work, ensure that your BIOS will startup from CD.

Your getting this screen because there is a hardware failure. Fix the problem and you wont need the BIOS password.
Press<esc> to enable startup message, This should give you more info on the problem.
