I just purchased a Panasonic DMC-LC1. I was just taking pictures of it today, uploaded pics to my computer and everything it was working fine. But later that night i turned it on and i got the black screen of death on the LCD and viewport screens. Honestly i've tried everything, took the battery out waited for a few mins messed with some settings, i don't know. Could someone maybe tell me how to reset it? or what is causing the problem please i need some expert help. i can still view pictures and upload previously taken pictures. Anyone please help. Where or how can i reset the settings? Whats wrong how come i can't take pictures and how come both screens are black?

I get no sign of life at all from my LC1. With the battery in or the power cable connected, there is a low pitched hum - very quiet, good ears needed - even when the camera is switched off. Have had the back off but don't want to get involved without more information. It has been dropped previously, perhaps it took a while for the fault to show up.
