Can you confirm that you get no sound and picture? Apparently, these units, along with Panasonic & Hitachi units which are similar in design and use the ALiS panel from Hitachi/Fujitsu have a weakness in power supply. If yours has this problem, you should at least get sound.
My Spheros started acting up (no picture) after a move as well. If yours has the same problem as mine, you could opt to replace the power supply by a Loewe rep and pay $1500. I just use a hair dryer to get the picture going. Let me know if you need the details.
Good luck.

Yes, it should be transported in upright position.
When we moved, our moving company arranged a crating company to crate our Spheros unit. They built a crate around the TV and secured it in an upright position along with the rotating stand. They then put a tilt sensor (you get the serial number of the tilt sensor) to make sure that the moving people don't tilt the crate. They also un-crate it at your destination. The only problem is that the TV is already quite heavy to begin with (~180 lbs), and with the crate, it becomes almost impossible for the movers move it in perfect upright position....though our movers really tried hard.

SOURCE: How to remove the back

I must say i haven't seen this model before, but I can't imagine it would be any different than the others, so with that said. You have to remove all the screws from around the back of the set, including the ones around the connectors and jacks, the screws out of the legs on the back of he set and all the screws around the edge then the support where the legs were attached and then the screws around the box with all the video jacks that pulls off.
If your going to lay it down while doing this be very careful not to damage the screen, use pillows and towels to lay it on and make sure no pressure is put on the screen itself.
Let me know if you need furthur assistance.

The right inner arrow on my remote does not work; I can rotate my tv to the left, but not to the right. I can adjust the brightness, contract, etc., down, but can not adjust up. Is there a way to op

someone spilled somehing on the remote ...
remove the battry cover and batteries.
remove the two screws in the battery compartment and pry the top away from the bottom so as to open the remote.lift the rubber button pad away from the parts board and rinse in water.
DO NOT SCRUB the small black buttons on the back of the pad... or the parts board... GENTLY rinse and wipe away any sticky goo though.

let dry completely ... paper towels work better than terry cloth.. if you want to pat it dry.
reassemble and it should be as good as new.

place the remote in a ziplock bag when the kids come to play...

My parents have given us their Loewe Spheros TV. Yesterday on installation the picture quality was fine, but today is very grainy. We have tried Sharpen and Image+ with no success. Any suggestions?

Hello
you haven't specified here about which connectron method you have adopted with your tV. If it is with outdoor antenna, check the antenna direction. If it is connected with cabel, check the connections at cable ends of firmness. If antenna connections may have sole loose contact, picture will get grainy. OK.

I just bought a used Loewe TV model number ACO938PB. I can;t get the picture to fill the screen. I've changed the settings inside the TV and the 6X9 format works best, but there are still bars of black...

I had a similar problem, and I fixed it with my new Sony flat screen by going into the zoom mode and then menu on the tv remote. You can then access settings such as horizontal and vertical and change them so that your screen can adjust. The only way you can access those settings is in zoom mode.

On switching on the set - sound ok but no picture

Do you still have this problem? If so, let me know. It's mostly likely the power supply...actually one tiny $0.50 capacitor. I actually expected better from Loewe.

Blue screen and menus work but hook anything and it tells me no signal

The color wheel bing noisy is a common problem iyt will eventually give a negative type picture, Loewe have now a solution to service this without replacement,I haven't tried it yet but I have one in the wirk shop to do. The second issue is probably a signal board issue, the tv handle menu systems differently from AV inputs. Loewe do part exchange prices on signal boards.

Before you change the signal board test with an AVS input from a camera or something, earlier models were sent out before Loewe had a license for HDCP and this can also cause the problem of no signal.
