It is probably safe. But why not load up one time with new oil and cook a load of french fries, and then throw the oil and fries away, just to make sure.

I have a Viking pro model oven VGIC3064BSS that doesn't light fully

Viking Gas Range Burners Won't Light? Here's What To Do... We'll discuss how to properly check the power sources and igniter when your Viking gas range burners won't light. We'll also provide a step-by-step guide illustrating how to clean Viking range burners with the right methods and materials.

Check For Power And Loose Connections

Are your Viking stove burners not igniting on demand? This may be more of a power issue and not a range malfunction. Even though you have a gas range, electricity is still required to ignite the burner. Here's how to check your stove's electrical sources to make sure they're functioning properly:
  • Make sure the stove is correctly plugged into a functioning outlet.
  • Check the stove's circuit breaker or fuse in your home's circuit breaker or fuse box. Reposition a tripped breaker or replace a blown fuse.
  • Refrain from using an extension cord to power your range. Most cords can't safely transmit the electricity required to power the stove.

How To Clean Viking Range Burners

Despite our best efforts, cooking spills and accidents can leave range burners compromised. Liquids, grease, and grime that go unnoticed during a hasty post-dinner cleaning can impair range components, resulting in burners that won't light.
This step-by-step guide provides Viking range cleaning tips that clean your burners and other stove components safely and effectively:

Grates:

Remove the grates and soak them in a sink of hot, soapy water for 15-20 minutes. For stubborn stains, add ammonia to the soaking liquid or scrub with Soft Scrub cleanser. Rinse with hot, soapy water and dry completely before replacing.

Burner Caps:

  1. Remove the caps by lifting straight upward.
  2. Scrub with hot, soapy water and a non-abrasive pad, using Soft Scrub cleanser for tougher stains.
  3. For persistent staining, place burner caps outside on a sheet of newspaper. Spray with Easy-Off Fume Free Max oven cleaner and allow to sit for 1-2 hours.
  4. Rinse with hot, soapy water.
  5. Allow caps to dry completely before replacing.

Burner Heads:

  1. Remove burner heads by lifting gently upward.
  2. Combine Bar Keeper's Friend and water to make a paste.
  3. Apply the paste to the burner head and leave for 30 minutes, resting on a clean towel.
  4. Scrub the paste into the burner head with a non-abrasive pad to remove stains.
  5. Rinse with hot, soapy water.
  6. Allow to dry completely.

Cooks essential #99770 2 art Pressure cooker lid when manual closed is not exactly even

The valves on the lid are "floating" valves, that means they will not sit firmly on the lid. However, food and gunk can get stuck in these valves. Remove it, soak it in hot soapy water, clean the inside with a toothpick and also clean the pipe on the lid that holds the weight. Your pressure cooker should be as good as new!

The clean light came on and I cannot find my manual to find out how to clen it. Plaeas help

Always turn coffeemaker OFF and remove the plug from the electrical outlet before cleaning. Lift up the reservoir cover. Remove and discard the paper filter and ground coffee. The filter basket can be washed in warm, soapy water and rinsed thoroughly, or cleaned in the upper rack of the dishwasher. Dry all parts after use. Do not put any water in the unit once the filter basket has been removed. Wipe the area under the filter basket with a damp cloth. Remove the carafe from the heating plate. Discard any remaining coffee. The carafe and lid can be washed in warm, soapy water and rinsed thoroughly, or placed in a dishwasher. The carafe and carafe lid should be placed on the upper rack only. Do not use any scouring agents or harsh cleansers on any part of the coffeemaker. Never immerse base unit in water or other liquid. To clean base, simply wipe with a clean, damp cloth and dry before storing. Fingerprints and other blemishes on the stainless steel housing can be washed off with soap and water or a nonabrasive cleaning solution. Wipe warming plate with a clean, damp cloth. Never use rough, abrasive materials or cleansers to clean the warming plate. Do not dry the inside of the water reservoir with a cloth, as lint may remain.

What should I clean my Brinkman smoker with -- is it safe to use SOS pads on the racks (where you put the meat)? How about the inside of the cover - should this be cleaned or left alone? If should be...

If your racks are the chrome ones, yes, WET SOS pads will work. So will the green Scotchbrite pads and a degreasing detergent. As for the lid, the safe way to go is a degreaser and HOT water with a non abrasive rag. If you have a good enamel paint on it, then oven cleaner works as well. Just make sure you rinse it really, really, well with hot soapy water after cleaning it with oven cleaner. (This is how I clean mine).

Frydaddy plastic lid melted. What diameter glass lid might I use to replace it?

I don't have a glass solution, but if you frydaddy is like mine, it has a 7.25 inch dia lid. For about $2 the "Glad Big Bowl" (6 cup size) plastic containers have a lid that fits pretty well.
