I have a Samsung ln46d630 and the speakers sound like they're blown when the volume is set to above 8. I have found replacement speakers available to purchase but before I do get them I am having a hard time finding out how to open the chassis and seeing the difficulty of the repair as a whole. Can anyone point me in the direction of a service manual for this model so I can see what I'm up against?

If your Samsung HT-E330K home theater system is not producing any sound even though the power display seems to be working fine, there are several potential causes and troubleshooting steps you can try:
1. **Check Volume Levels:** Make sure the volume on the home theater system and the connected TV (if applicable) is turned up and not muted.
2. **Check Audio Source:** Verify that the correct audio source is selected on the home theater system. If you're using multiple input sources (DVD, TV, AUX, etc.), make sure the right input source is selected.
3. **Audio Cables:** Ensure that all audio cables are securely connected to both the home theater system and the audio source (TV, DVD player, etc.). Sometimes, loose or faulty cables can result in no sound.
4. **Speaker Connections:** Check that all speakers are properly connected to the home theater system and that the speaker wires are securely inserted into the appropriate terminals.
5. **Audio Settings:** Go through the audio settings on both the home theater system and the connected TV (if applicable). Ensure that the correct audio output settings are configured.
6. **Mute Function:** Double-check that the mute function on the remote control or the home theater system itself is not engaged.
7. **Speaker Balance:** Check the speaker balance settings to ensure that sound is not unintentionally directed to one side or speaker.
8. **Reset to Default Settings:** If you've made any changes to the settings recently, consider performing a factory reset to revert to the default settings.
9. **Firmware Update:** If there is a firmware update available for your home theater system, consider updating the firmware as it might resolve any software-related issues.
10. **Test with Different Source:** Test the home theater system with different audio sources to rule out issues with a particular device.
11. **Test Speakers:** If possible, disconnect each speaker one at a time and test the audio to identify if a particular speaker or speaker wire is causing the issue.
12. **Check Speaker Impedance:** Ensure that the speakers' impedance matches the specifications of the home theater system. Mismatched impedance can affect sound quality.
13. **Contact Support:** If you've tried these steps and still have no sound, consider contacting Samsung customer support or seeking assistance from a professional technician for further troubleshooting and repair.
Remember to refer to your device's user manual for specific instructions related to your model.
You may have a shorted speaker voice coil, the voice coil shorts above the volume setting you mentioned, try unplugging the speakers one at a time and see if the problem stops.
The Tcon board or the LCD pnle is faulty ,can confirm by replacing the Tcon board. If you wish to get some more information about Tcon board problems and solutions then check the following link. http://electro-medical.blogspot.com/
You'll need some type of amplifier to drive the speakers. The Samsung TVs mostly have a line out and a headphone out, but that wont drive speakers unless they are powered speakers like PC speakers or a powered sound bar. (Like the Pioneer SP-SB23W soundbar/subwoofer) If you have some of these get a mini 1/8" stereo plug to RCA plug adapter from BestBuy or similar. If you have PC type speakers, You'll need a 1/8" mini stereo patch cord to go from the line out to the speaker input. (Set the audio out on the TV to variable so you can control the volume with the TV volume.)
Hate to say it, but possibly a blown speaker. To check this, do the following -
Step 2:
Insert headphones into jack to verify for sound there.
Step 3:
Unplug unit and open rear panel to reveal speakers.
Step 4:
Remove leads from woofer.
Step 5:
Using a multimeter, set to OHM (horseshoe) to lowest setting.
Step 6:
Apply red(+) and black(-) to speaker leads. Meter should read at least 4-8 ohms of resistance.
Step 7:
If no reading, then voice coil is blown.
Step 8:
If no meter available to use, the use a 9 volt battery by applying direct connection to speaker leads in an off-and-on fashion - You should hear a "click" sound come from speaker. If no "click," then speaker is blown.
Step 9:
If click is heard, and resistance on meter is correct, then the amp circuitry leading to the woofer may be blown = repair needed.
First verify that the mute is disengaged (toggle the mute button). Second, check the sound configuration to make sure the internal speakers are on, or check the sound output to make sure it is going to the inputs of an external audio amplifier (stereo receiver) and that the external amplifier is working. Try a different input source - perhaps the problem is your cable feed or DVD player. If the internal speakers are on, the volume is up, and you still don't get any sound from a known-good source (TV channel, DVD player, etc.), then try running the sound to a stereo system as described above. If that works, you may have a shorted speaker amplifier (depending on the set's design, this may blow a fuse supplying power to both left and right amplifiers or a speaker protection circuit will keep the speakers disconnected). These aren't usually hard to repair, but if you find a blown fuse, fix the amplifier before replacing the fuse or you'll just waste another fuse.

Full solution is available in my website (Support page)...it's quite simple process to fix it, and I am not charging any money, just trying to do some service. www+sureshayyar+110mb+com Copy the above address in the browser, replace + with dots....all the best...
the surround sound speakers connect to the computer by way of three connectors. the system should have come with an adapter that plugs all three connectors into one green connector. if you color match that green connector into the computer you should get sound out of the central and rear speakers. not sure if the surround sound will work correctly for movies, but you should get sound
this is due to leakages in your internal circuit... this generally happens due to aging... the part which has suffered damage has to be found and replaced... but this part can be identified only physically testing the voltages and currents on the internal circuit...
