How to use power and percent in el-531x scientific calculator.

To use the power, you use the y to the x key, above the EXP key. To enter 2 to the power of 4, you enter 2 hit the y to the x key and enter 4 and hit enter.

To use percent function, you enter the percent key after the number. To calculate Interest, where Interest = Principal x Interest x Time. For example, if the principal is $1,000, the interest rate is 8%, and time/term is 4 years, we would enter 1000 x 8 Percent x 4. When the8 is entered followed by the percent key, it should turn into 0.08.

Percent of increase

change =(new value-old value)/(old value)
Percent change =change*100 %
change=(8900.00-8640.00)/8640.00=0.0301
Percent change=0.0301*100%=3.01%
Since the change is positive, the new value is higher than the old value, this change is an increase.

THE VOLUME DIAL (LARGE ROUND WHEEL) DOES NOT WORK PROPERLY. You turn it clockwise to get higher volume, the digital numbers go lower, higher, and not the way it should be. The volume doesn't increase or...

Some tuners denote volume as attenuation so zero means it is at full volume and -20 means it is 20 decibels or 20 percent etc below zero. Essentially, zero means it is not being held back while the higher the number, the higher amount of holding back.

I am not sure what you mean by the volume does not increase or decrease normally so you'll have to ask that one with more details and information to get something more on that issue.

How do I increase the size of the text being displayed on my laptop monitor ?

Hello,
To increase/decrease the font size,
1. Right click on the desk top screen (or double click on control panel, then choose personalize icon)
2. Under "Task" double click " adjust font size (dpi)" then click "continue".
3. Click "larger dpi" or "custom dpi" box. Choosing custom setting should indicate 100%.

To increase font size, type a percent greater than 100 (ie. 105%) or to decrease size, use a percent less than 100 (ie. 95%).
4. Click "ok". You may receive a message to restart computer for change to take effect.
5. Restart computer. Repeat process until you are happy with the results.
