your agitator or belt must be broken. you can order a new part or find a second hand part but then you also need to pay someone to replace the part unless your lucky enough to know someone whos handy with fixing washers!! lol not likely!! :P most of the time, from my experiences of having my ex trying to fix them himself, it was usually, cheaper, easier, and quicker to buy a new washer!! best of luck!! :)

I would have someone come look at it and give you their opinion. But if you really want a new one, it depends on what you are looking to buy. Here are a few criteria I tell my customers when looking for new. 1. Stick with a name you have grown up with (i.e. Maytag, GE and Whirlpool) 2. Make sure you can get reliable warranty and after warranty care. Also part availabilty at local parts places. You don't want to be with out a washer for 6 weeks would you ? 3. Don't let a salesman sell you the product go in wanting to buy the product. 4. I always give my customers the option of calling me when out shopping so they get my honest opinion of a product. I do not sell them so I am a little more unbiased than salesman. So find you servicer you are very comfortable with and ask his opinion. This is where having a trusted and honest servicer that you constantly use comes in handy. Hope I answered your questions, if not post again and i'll try to answer.

To be honest with you there's a very small chance that this unit will be working again, but this can still be fix try first to dry the unit and then once its completely dry charge the unit but if its still not working the board of the unit needs replacement already....so better take it to a service center near you...

It is definately the main drum bearings that have failed
To be honest with you , if the washer is more than 4 or 5 years old, you would be wise to call it a day, and purchase a new one, as it is an expensive job to put right..Sorry to bring you doom and gloom.

Honestly the best way is to pull the old one out nd go to ur local salvage yard nd get a used one but notice where leak is and note if rubbed against something to cause leak or did freezing case it when water was put intoit.They have washer fluid that will not freeze.

Honestly if fluid level is ok and no apparent reason for not working it could have internal damage. Would suggest if it is a possibility to take it to someone and have it looked at.

It sounds like the lid switch. If it ws the coupler the water would drain. Check to see if the lid switch is clicking when you put the lid down. replace the lid switch. You have a great washer. Fairly cheap fix.
