Go to Top Menu > Settings > More > Connection > USB Connection Select 'Mass Storage'. This enables Windows to see the Micro SD card in your phone as a storage drive and you will no longer get the format message when you plug your phone in to your PC. After this I was able to drop mp3 files into my phone and use them as ring tones.

the problem simply is the flex of the phone, which is the mechanism that is connecting the screen to the keypad of the phone.
it sometimes work when the mechanism connects a little, that is why you can type on the keypad.
its quite difficult fixing it on your own, but if you want to, you will have to get a replacement flex,
get the appropriate screw driver that matches the screws on the phone,
carefully unscrew the parts of the phone,
locate the flex & replace it with the replacement flex you have with you,
carefully screw it back together and you will find your phone in good condition again.
or better still you can take the phone to an expert for repair.

1 - Switch on your LG GR500 Xenon with a NOT ACCEPTED* SIM Card.
2 - LG GR500 Xenon will display "phone restricted" Select "Cancel".
3 - LG GR500 Xenon will display "phone restriction code" Enter the Unlock code. Select "OK".
4 - The handset is now successfully unlocked.
*NOT ACCEPTED : We mean, to use a sim card from a network other than the network your LG GR500 Xenon is locked to.

1 - Switch ON your LG GR500 Xenon with its ORIGINAL SIM Card.
2 - Enter2945#*9701#.
3 - A menu will pop up, Select Sim Unlock.
4 - Enter your Unlock Code and press OK.
5 - The LG GR500 Xenon will then reboot and the unlock is complete.
ORIGINAL: We mean, to use the sim card that was originally given to you by your network/service provider along with the LG GR500 Xenon.

1 - Switch on your LG GR500 Xenon with a NOT ACCEPTED* SIM Card.
2 - Type *#865625#.
3 - Enter the unlock code twice.
4 - LG GR500 Xenon should say: Network Lock Deactivated.
5 - LG GR500 Xenon may automatically reboot and is now unlocked!
