The battery or charger might be bad and need replacing. Do you have a different USB port available? It's possible the port you are trying to charge from is not powered.
Make sure that you're using fully charged battery pack.
Remove the battery and reinsert it.
Try using different battery if available use AC adaptor and check..
If the issue persists with different battery, service is required
Hi,
There is a problem in your battery either you need to replace it or you can try to charge it through USB.
If you want to charge your camera through USB follow the instruction:-
1) In the computer turn OFF the hibernate, sleep or stand by Mode.
2) Turn OFF the camera.
3) Connect the your camera to the computer through USB Cable.4) Wait for your camera battery to charge (Approx. 3 hours) This may resolve your problem,Else you need to replace your battery Rating the solution is highly appreciated...Good Luck
Please try the following: Don't forget if you're charging though the computer NOT to turn the camera on. 1. Clean the battery contacts. a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth. b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera. Please make sure that you are installing a fresh/ fully charged battery c. Turn the camera on. 2. Without the memory card, turn your camera on. (If it works then it?s your memory card that is faulty) 3. Please test with the a different battery If you do not have access to another battery Try these steps instead: Please take the battery out of the camera. b. Insert the charger into the unit from the main socket and turn the camera on. If the camera works you will need to replace the battery. If you camera doesn?t switch on you will need to order a no power repair with KODAK or a new cable.
Please note that the camera will only charge from the computer if the camera is turned off. Also try a different USB plug. 1. This is a triky one. Most cameras will work with rechargeable batteries. If they don't work the most probable cause is this: a normal battery has about 1.5 V nominal charge. Because you use 2 of them you get 3 V nominal charge. Most rechargeable batteries have about 1.21 - 1.25 V like yours. This is given by the technology type used in their construction. However 2 1.25V batteries will result in 2.50 V at nominal charge and some cameras woun't go whell with the 0.5 V difference. You should try other types of rechargeable batteries, maybe some of them will work, but it is recomandable to do that before you buy them, so like I said, it's a triky choice. Try to go to a digital camera shop, they may sell rechargeable batteries more compatible with your camera.
