Works only with coax antenna inputs but not known proven HDMI input.
SOURCE: No video throught HDMI output
press set up go option number 1 then go hdmi monitor and input yes. then press set up again
SOURCE: No sound from optical or coax digital inputs
You have to use the system setting using the remote and turn on the inputs you want to use. Hope this helps.

It sounds to me like you have a HDMI Control issue. It sounds like the DVD player wants to control the receiver. Try turning off hdmi control on the TV, reciever, and the dvd player in their setup menus.
Let me know if this helped,
Joe

For me, it was the Monitor Out setting that had defaulted back to Component. I remembered to change the individual inputs to HDMI - but had forgotten to set the Monitor Out to be HDMI.

The number of HDMI components is over the limit. ?? Not sure what that means but dropping one HDMI might be a good test.

Hi Jim Lapke, I want to help you with your question, but I need more information from you. Can you please add details in the comment box? What are you connecting to the HDMI ports?
Connecting Xfinity DVR HDMI output (works OK with test TV) into HDMI 1 or HDMI 2 input to receiver. Can not bypass into plasma TV because it has no HDMI input, only the cable set into the revivers. This set up worked last in May before I left the power unplugged until a week ago. Now it only works with the coax output from the DVR box into the Ant A or B of the receiver. Of course the picture is not the Hi Def you get with the HDMI connection.
Tried with HDMI enabled at set up and either input 1 or 3 selected all done thru the remote. BTW the HDMI 1 input worked in May and the DVR, TV & receiver have had the power unplugged until now.
HDMI is enabled at set up and the input HDMI 1 or 3 are selected (confirmed on the display). The HDMI input worked OK 6 months ago and the DVR, TV & receiver have had the power unplugged until now.
Disabling the HDMI inputs and/or not selecting them with the remote does not change the condition. BTW the HDMI 1 input and this DVR box worked in May and the power has been unplugged until now.
Receiver, not revivers - sorry.
