Alarm keeps turning on when I turn on my car starter

Okay, the Avital 4111 is a one button remote starter. So, it has no way of locking your car doors except if wired to lock after start or, after shut down. In the 2010 CRV, the unit should have been wired to disarm the alarm before start(brown wire in kick panel) and to unlock doors when running (grey wire in kick panel in same harness as disarm) with the press and release of the remote starter remote. If the unit is not working in cold weather it may be due to the installer using a valet key instead of a bypass and/or the unit may be programmed for virtual tachometer or voltage instead of having a true tachometer wire connected.

Remote start

James;
You would need a Fortin int-bmw1 Interface Kit which Maintains the integrity of the
vehicle's security on push-to-start ignition systems also a Fortin EVO-CAN It is a
transponder bypass that will also allow you to control the electric door locks,
factory alarm, heated seats and other available options including a tachometer output.
Many makers IE: AUDIOVOX APS51, Avital 5303l, Scytek 5000rs,
Bulldog Bulldog Security Deluxe500B
Good luck

I have a new prestige APS-57C remote starter installed in a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe and I have a problem with the factory alarm going off every once and awhile. The majority of the time everything is fine,...

Maybe the installer did not hook up the remote starter unit to disarm the factory security system upon entry or remote-starting. Ask the installer to double check that part of the install as it would cause the factory security to trigger even though you unlocked the vehicle with the remote start unit remote.

Prestige aps-57 remote start...car won't start

Hello hope this can help you. First check the starter wire, it is tan/lt blue located at the ignition harness. usualy during installation of the remote start system this wire is cut leaving you with two ends. one wire is coming from the ignition switch the other is going to the starter. the brain of the alarm hooks into both of these wires. if the repair man cut the wires from the brain and spliced them together he has just put the system back to OEM status leaving the alarm no way to engage the starter. I believe that may be where the problem lies but if not then I would say check your immobilizer bypass module the repair man mave have diconected that.

Thank you,
Luis
