Think Your Deleted Facebook Posts Are Really Deleted Guess Again

The only thing you can do to edit Facebook posts is to delete them and repost them. There is no "edit" feature on Facebook. To delete them, drag your mouse to the top right corner of the post box and click on the "X" that appears.

That is because they were posted to someone else's wall. Even if you're the person who posted, you are not permitted to delete posts on someone else's wall.

If you want to be able to delete posts you make, then make themon your own wall.

To delete a post or story from your Wall, follow these steps:

1. Hover your mouse over the story or post in question.
2. Click the "Remove" button that appears.
3. Select "Delete" in the dialogue box.

Note that once you have deleted the content you cannot restore it.

you can get that from the facebook help section as well

You just have to click on the link which says account on the upper right corner of the screen and select logout. you will then be brought to the welcome screen. just log in and make sure you tick the box that says keep me logged in. hope this helps

You did not mention if the things that you wanted to delete are the things that you posted (or the things that your friends posted)
Well, if it is yours that you wanted to delete here's how:
Sign in to Facebook, On the upper right part of the facebook page, click profile.Click the WALL tab, there you will see the history of your activity in facebook. All your posted videos, messages and activities were listed. This are the lists also that your friends will be seen on their facebook page.
Delete this one at a time by pointing the arrow of the mouse to the topic, a small word "remove" will pop out once you point your mouse.
Click it and it will permanently remove from yours and your friends facebook.

However, on your homepage...posts that your friends made cannot be deleted.. you can hide it but everytime you sign in you will see again their posts.
