I have a # 2010 when i turn kettle on it trips the reset button even when i unplug kettle

The easiest way to get it done is by using an OBD code reader. The best part is that most service shops will do it for free. However, if that is not possible, you should disconnect the battery and let it breathe for ten minutes or more. Then reconnect the battery and the error should go away. If it comes back on, take your car down to a dealership to run diagnostics.

To order a manual from the factory the part# is 67834. Depending on how old this is , those kettles and or similar design had a issue with the nut comming loose that holds down the thermostat thight to the bottom of the pan. The loose nut would then bounce around in there until it touches a elect.connection and ground at the same time. It will short circuit the kettle and end up welding itself in place . so when you turn the kettle on it trips the circuit rite away. you have to dissasemble it and remove it . there is a new locking type nut avalible to replace it.

Next time it happens and it trips.. use a dry towel to unplug kettle, just in case.

Is the base wet? Check the kettle for cracks. Check the cable. Is it damaged? Try replacing the fuse in the plug. Is the steam that the kettle produces affecting lighting or other electrical items around it? Try moving the kettle to a different location.

I would turn off the machine and unplug from the wall. Water is conductive and if it is throwing your switch you need a professional to look at it. Ring your local washing machine mechanic. Electricity and water are just too dangerous. If you keep resetting your switch and trying to run it, just to have it reset again, you can burn out the switch in the board. My husband did that when the kettle kept tripping it. New switch in the board was about $300.00.

select total mileage on you odometer with the trip odo button. turn the ignition key OFF push the trip reset button and hold wile turning ignition ON. the display will show --------- and one bay one will delete hold till the last one is gone and release the reset button.now the maintenance is reset to zero.

That appears to be a thermistor problem. The thermistor controls the temperature and is normally not user-replaceable. Call the 800 number for verification and possible replacement of the kettle.

Push down on it toggles it on and off. Push down on it and it will release back up. Hope this helped...

That sounds like either a faulty thermal trip, or a faulty overheating fryer.
Is it clean around the element because if not the heat will build up, much like the fur on a kettle and cause the element to overheat.
