Hi yes the problem using different chargers polarity can be positive & negative. On the male plug or it can be negative & posative ....also they can be AC CURRENT OR DC CURRENT U NEED A MULTIMETER TO TEST THEM ...OR ITCOULD BE a fault with the tablet or the Charging socket .,cheers
Here's a possibility, I just plugged in my Kindle Paperwhite using the Kindle charger and USB cable. It wouldn't charge.
I kept it plugged in all afternoon and it accepted no charge although it showed the little lightning bolt on the icon suggesting it was charging.
I unplugged the charger (it has two prongs) and reversed it so
the logo was on top and, Lo and Behold it charged. It could be the plug is not omniidirectional (i.e. it is polarized)
If you allowed the battery to go dead you will have to remove the back, unplug the battery, then take an old phone charger cut off the plug that goes into the phone, strip back the wires hook them (in the proper polarity) to the battery and plug it in and allow it to charge for a little while, every time my wife runs my battery dead on my Asus Memopad I do this overnight, in the morning plug the battery back into the tablet and you're ready to go. VERY IMPORTANT! get the battery and charger polarity correct, the battery wires are usually red +, Black - I hope this helps you
There are several things to remember when purchasing an universal tablet charger. 1. Check to ensure that it is the proper voltage. 2.Always maksure that it is of the same amperage as the one sold for that tablet. and 3. Check to be sure that the polarity is what your tablet is set to. Not all universal chargers use the same polarity, some have a negative ground while others may have a positive ground. If there is any doubt, always consult customer service or customer technical service for the tablet that you are using.
