Hi Tiffany,
Found this after googling ..... Here is how you enable the number lock feature:
1) While booting up press F2 repeatedly
2) After the Dell logo appears, you will be diverted to a Settings menu
3) Expand "POST behavior"
4) Select "Keypad (Embedded)"
5) Press the "By Num Lock" button
6)Press "Apply"
7)Press "Exit"
Usually there is a 'Fn' button on the keyboard of a laptop. It has to be somewhere near the 'ctrl' 'windows' or 'alt' button on the left.
If you press and hold the 'Fn' key and then the numlock 9, you will toggle numlock on and off.
The 'Fn' of the key is normally written in another color. There are several buttons on the keyboard thet has a same color number or sign. To enable this signs and numbers, you have to press and hold the 'Fn' key and then the key with the desired number or sign.
hi you should find this on the under side of the laptop on a sticker, i gather you mean the serial number to the actual unit and not the serial number to your windows os...hope that helped
