SOURCE: lg front load washer leaking from bottom of machine

I just fixed this problem - there is a rubber hose that hooks the bottom of the drum to the drain and recycle pumps - it is ribbed and it developed a hole. To confirm and repair (repair can be done from the front of the machine)

  1. Unplug the machine.
  2. Drain whatever water you can from the machine using the stoppered hose behind the bottom left panel
  3. Unscrew the visible screw holding the plastic in place near the drain hose and filter
  4. If you can pull the plastic recessed piece out, there is one screw visible behind it - unswcrew this. If you cannot pull it out now, you should be able to get it after you remove the screws in step 10
  5. Pull out the detergent drawer (push in the middle back "botton" to release the drawer to pull out fully)
  6. Unscrew two screws in the drawer area.
  7. Pull the top of the electronics assembly away from the machine and lift the assembly out (place on top of the machine or hook it out of the way)
  8. Open the door and remove the spring loaded wire around the door seal (be careful as the seal can be torn)
  9. Pull the seal away from the metal front panel, then close the door
  10. Remove four screws at the top of the front panel (that were behind the eletronics assembly) - If you already have removed the screw from step 4, proceed, otherwise lean the top of front panel out and pop the plastic out, hold panel in place and remove that bottom screw from step 4.
  11. Lift front panel about two inches, swing the entire front panel to the right and set against something - You should now be able to see inside the machine.
  12. There is a black hose right in the middle - when I squeezed mine a little, I could see where the water was dripping out from the bottom.
  13. There are three clamps - two that can be squeezed with pliers and removed, one that has to be unscrewed (phillips head screw - it is a bit blind as the screw faces the back of the machine) - Once I got mine off - I could see the hole.
  14. Order replacement and reassmble in the opposite order

How do you remove the front kick panel

Here are the steps.Hope this helps.
Insert a putty knife between the top of the kick plate and bottom of the front panel near the center of the washer, if you have an older model top load washer. Move the putty knife blade in and out in that area until you feel an obstruction. The obstruction is the kick plate retaining clip
Press the putty knife blade over the spring clip until you feel the clip disengage. Let go of the putty knife and grab both ends of the kick plate with your hands. Pull the kick plate away from the washer

ift the front of the washer with help from a friend, if you have a front load model Whirlpool. Slide a block of wood under the front of each side and gently lower the washer Remove the three hex head screws on the bottom edge of the washer kick plate with a Phillips-head screwdriver or nut driver. Pull the kick plate away from the washer.

It's showing the code "SudS" where the minutes

Hi
When washer detects suds then this error appears. NOTE: After 4 minutes the SUD error will be displayed, and then 4 minutes later the F02 error code will be displayed.
? Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or kinked.
? Check the electrical connections at the pump and make sure the pump is running.
? Check the drain pump filter for foreign objects.
? If the above does not correct the problem, replace the pump.

There are 3 small 9/32 hex head screws that hold the front panel on. Unscrew the 3 hex head screws (9/32 socket or nut driver size), now remove the front kick panel. Unscrew the white drain cap -WARNING-- lots of water will drain out when you loosen the white cap. Once all the water is out, remove and take out the filter trap.
Hope this helps... Please post back for more information

F02 error and not draining correctly (pool of water left at the bottom of the washer after cycle has completed). This is on a whirlpool duet front loading washer.

I have an error code of 5UD or SUD and the water is not draining

If you are getting an F2 error message or a SUD error message, and are observing some water in the tub that is not draining at end of cycle, and your washi cycle is taking a lot longer that normal to complete, then here is what to do.

This solution is easy, and will take no more that 15 minutes, from start to finish, and most of that time is in the --prep-- (getting tools, towels, etc.). This WILL save you a expensive service call.

There are 3 small 9/32 hex head screws that hold the front panel on. The front panel I'm speaking of is --below-- the washer window.
These screws can be found::

a. if you have the optional washer storage drawer unit,, they can be found by opening the drawer, and observing the 3 screws (left, middle, and right side, that hold the front panel on.
or
b. if you DONT have the optional drawer assembly, then they are found on the front, bottom, of the washer, again holding the front panel on the washer.

1. unscrew the 3 hex head screws (9/32 socket or nut driver size)
2. lower/remove the front panel, and set it asisde on some towels, so as not to scratch the front panel.
3. get something now to soak up at least a gallon of water that WILL empty onto the floor.
4. observe large WHITE drain cap, at front center of washer.
5. unscew white drain cap --WARNING-- lots of water WILL drain out when you loosen the white cap. Once all the water is out, remove and take out the filter trap.
6. clean out the front and bottom of the filter trap. I'm sure lint, and gosh knows what else have cloged some of the holes
7. wipe out the inside of the housing for the filter trap (observe lots of -gunk- there too).
8 put back in filter trap, tighten white cap, and put front panel on washer with same 9/32 screws you took off earlier.

Now I ran a test --express wash-- cycle, just to be sure all was OK,, and it was.

Whirl pool front loading washer

F 06 has to do with what they call a tachometer error from the mcu. This little white box is usually on the bottom of the machine. I would first un plug and re plug all the connects top and bottom using the tech manual also at the bottom in a manilla envelope. Is your machine less than a year old? If it is call and get in warranty repair for defects. If not and reseating the connections doesn't help you will need a mcu.188 at repairclinic.com
