The NW-E55 Walkman Player is compatible only with the SonicStage Software for transferring the songs. Unfortunately, the Software is not compatible with the Windows 7 OS and won't be able to transfer the songs from the Windows 7 OS using the SonicStage Software. Only option to transfer the songs to the Player using the Software is via Windows XP or Vista. However. once you install the Software and transfer the songs, you've to use the same computer to transfer or delete the songs again.
Check whether its compatible with Vista. Also if you are trying to use a "cracked' software in Vista, it simply wont respond to any command or recognize the devices its supposed to because Vista does not allow any extra drivers to be added other than those preset in the OS driver database....sodeep
This one is not compatible with Vista - it might work sometimes, but not others - if Sony's website doesn't have an upgrade to make it Vista compatible (I don't believe they do, but you should check), I'm afraid this player has seen the end of it's days - because it sounds like you tried everything else that I would have suggested.
my sony walkman mp3 player model # NW-EO15F i cannot upload any songs, i wanna upload songs. but i don't know how to upload songs.please can you tell me.
Just opened mine an hour ago. Version 3.0 Sonic Stage in the box. They really want you to use their Atrac compression. In Sonic Stage, Import your files (or let it create your libray), then it will convert as needed.
I am now listening to music. Meanwhile I have downloaded Sonic Stage 4.3 from Sony website, as well as the 4.3 security patch.
However, they have an MP3 driver that will allow you to load MP3 onto this device, without Sonic Stage (you'll need to install). Doesn't say if it will allow WMA too.
