The SB4200 Modem according to the Motorola website does NOT have wireless capabilities. In fact not a lot of cable modems do have wireless built in to them.

That is the modem to which you refered and it does not have wireless. In order to connect your Wii wirelessly you would need to purchase a WIRELESS ROUTER, which most major stores carry varios brands such as Linksys or Netgear.

you can add any router you want. since the surfboard is just a modem, you can add any router you want. just make sure that after you plugin a router into the surfboard, that you disconnect the surfboard from it's power, wait 10 seconds and then reconnect the power. this is to let the surfboard see the router since it is known to remember it's last connected device.
