Why is my password not working. I need to change password

It should give you a code to the number you wrote at the account and through there you can change your password.

unplug the router for 30 seconds and plug it back it dont unplug the wall cord just the little power cord on the back

You can remove or change the Window's User or administrator's password. You need access to a computer with Internet access to download the Hiren's Boot CD and burn it onto a CD. Then insert this CD into the laptop/computer and boot up the laptop/computer with the Hiren's CD and follow the instructions. There are very useful utilities CD and it a Linux boot CD which contains quite a lot of Utility programs including a password removal program. If it's at bootup:

You need to temporarily remote the CMOS battery from the motherboard to reset the bootup password.

When you created that password, you should have had a security question answered that would help you remember what the password is exactly. Even though you wrote it, remember that it is case sensitive. So if your password was

SystemShock2 it won't respond to systemshock2 or SYSTEMSHOCK2, or anything that isn't exactly as it was written.

If you cannot get in, reboot and keep pressing F8 until you get the safe mode options. Log on as Administrator and change the user account password, or remove it entirely.

The most common mistake is to have the Caps Lock key down entering the password to set it or to use it. As it is set, try with Caps Lock on and then off the password. Otherwise I hope you have created a separate admin account or at least another user account to see what you can see.

You will need to reset the router to factory and use the defult user name and password then you can change it to what you whant as the user name and password

just click on the forgot password
