Even when overflowing it shouldnt leak from the door? less u have a bad door seal? the water problem may be due to a bad water inlet valve? have u notice water in the tub even when ur not using it? check with a multimeter the inlet valve and the water pressure switch? blow into the water pressure switch while it is in the wash mode filling with water and if it starts washing the diaphfram is good if not its faulty. u can also checl the water inlet valve the one with the hoses attached . by running either a hot or cold cycle only and turn off the hot then turn off the cold? see if it continues to over flow with each cycle? hot then cold- GOOD LUCKKKKK

SOURCE: front load washer leak

This could be the rubber seal or the door lock. If the door lock is not pulling it tightly closed then it needs to be replaced. Check the seal really closely and make sure there are not cracks and it does not look deformed

SOURCE: lg front load washer leaking from bottom of machine

I just fixed this problem - there is a rubber hose that hooks the bottom of the drum to the drain and recycle pumps - it is ribbed and it developed a hole. To confirm and repair (repair can be done from the front of the machine)

  1. Unplug the machine.
  2. Drain whatever water you can from the machine using the stoppered hose behind the bottom left panel
  3. Unscrew the visible screw holding the plastic in place near the drain hose and filter
  4. If you can pull the plastic recessed piece out, there is one screw visible behind it - unswcrew this. If you cannot pull it out now, you should be able to get it after you remove the screws in step 10
  5. Pull out the detergent drawer (push in the middle back "botton" to release the drawer to pull out fully)
  6. Unscrew two screws in the drawer area.
  7. Pull the top of the electronics assembly away from the machine and lift the assembly out (place on top of the machine or hook it out of the way)
  8. Open the door and remove the spring loaded wire around the door seal (be careful as the seal can be torn)
  9. Pull the seal away from the metal front panel, then close the door
  10. Remove four screws at the top of the front panel (that were behind the eletronics assembly) - If you already have removed the screw from step 4, proceed, otherwise lean the top of front panel out and pop the plastic out, hold panel in place and remove that bottom screw from step 4.
  11. Lift front panel about two inches, swing the entire front panel to the right and set against something - You should now be able to see inside the machine.
  12. There is a black hose right in the middle - when I squeezed mine a little, I could see where the water was dripping out from the bottom.
  13. There are three clamps - two that can be squeezed with pliers and removed, one that has to be unscrewed (phillips head screw - it is a bit blind as the screw faces the back of the machine) - Once I got mine off - I could see the hole.
  14. Order replacement and reassmble in the opposite order

SOURCE: LG WM2487 Leak Front Left

Not sure if this machine is similar to the WM2277, but here is the procedure for that - my leak was in the "baffels" hose that connects the drum to the drain pump:

1. Drain the machine - pry the panel at the front left lower corner to get access to a stoppered tube. drain as much water from here as possible.
2. Remove screw visible inside this area and remove the white molded plastic - also remove the screw behind that plastic.
3. Open the washer door and remove the spring loaded wire around the door gasket. Carefully pull the door gasket away from the panel push inside and then reclose the door.
4. Remove the detergent drawer and the two screws visible behind it.
5. Pull the top of the electronics panel away from the machine and lift up - place on top of machine or hook it out of the way
6 Remove the 4 screws that are visible holding the front panel to the machine. Left the entire front panel up about 2 inches and swing to the right (there is a wire connecting the door to the machine on the right)

SOURCE: LG front load washer -- water leaks

First, clean off the bottom of the door glass where it contacts the gray tub gasket when the door closes. Any hair or other build up can result in leakage. Second, if that does not completely solve your leak, you can move the location of the spring which holds the tub gasket from the very bottom (6 O'clock position) to the hinge area (9 O'clock position). Third: Sometimes, the reason you get a leak is due to the installation. If the washer was pushed into place by applying pressure in the center front of the washer, the outer front panel can be slightly deformed (inwerd) resulting in leakage from the door. If that is the case, sometimes you can remove the outer clamp and outer part of the gray seal and pull out on the front panel to correct the situation if it is not too severe, rather than replacing the entire front panel.

SOURCE: LG WM2487 front load washer spews suds out of port on rear.

You are likely using too much detergent or the detergent is not high-efficiency detergent. Change detergents and/or lower amount and this problem should go away.

The water port on the back allows air inside the tub to escape. However, if the wrong type or quantity of detergent are used, excess suds will flow from this port.

My lg wm0742hga front load washer machine over fill of water.

Hello Felipe;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

The LE error code stands for "Locked Motor Error." This is one of the more common error codes on LG washing machines. Ii is a fault condition. Read your manual where it explicitly tells you to use only High Efficiency (HE) detergent. Although, regular detergent is less expensive, using other than HE, you are going to continue to have problems. Such as premature drum bearing failure. This is an expensive repair.
In the LG washer, the LE error code is usually caused by the burned out hall effect sensor, Part Number: 6501KW2002A.

1.) Unplug your unit and remove the back cover.

Be absolutely certain that the HALL EFFECT SENSOR is installed correctly. Three white plastic tabs on the STATOR (motor) securely hold the sensor in the correct position. If any of the *three plastic tabs* were damaged during an attempt to remove the old sensor-this will require replacing the STATOR ASSY
Also, Check for any black marks on the wires or burns or broken wires.

I have the LG wm2487h*ma front load washer. My washer is filling up with water when not in use. When I wash a load, the water does not go in the washer. Have opened the door thinking the wash cycle is done...

The problem would appear to be the water inlet solenoid valve.
The valve is not operating correctly for some reason allowing water into the machine even when switched off

Tub filling with water after cycle is finshed

If your washer fills with water, usually slowly, after the cycle is over you have a inlet water valve which is not shutting off completely. LG usually uses a separate valve for the hot and cold. If you turn off the valve where the hose comes from the house and observe for continued water fill, first one, the reopen it, then shut off the other you should be able to see which (hot or cold) is the culprit. If you post your exact model number I should be able to list the part numbers for you. The inlet valves I am speaking of are the part where the hoses connect onto your machine.

Kenmore HE4T Washer Leak

there are 2 possible causes.
either
inlet valve leaking - turn water off and if water fill stops, it indicates valve leaking
valve being powered when machine off. this is very unlikely but to check, disconnect washer and see if problem stops
also, if drain is plumbed into a spigot on the sink trap, every time you empty the sink, some of the water will flow into the machine. to cure this, take the drain hose as high as possible under the sink in a swan neck

Washer tub slowly fills with water

Is your problem a SLOW FILL problem, or a problem with WATER DRIPPING FROM THE RUBBER DOOR SEAL - or BOTH? If you have a slow fill problem, this is generally caused by a bad fill valve, which can be attributed to hard water deposits or well water mineral deposits. Sometimes the fill valve can be removed, cleaned and reinstalled, but most of the time a new fill valve is required. If you are experiencing water leaking from the rubber door seal (bellow), it may be time to replace it. Sometimes the seal can develop a wrinkle or crease where it meets the glass, which can cause leaks. Water dripping from the door when you open after washing a load is normal. Water dripping during a load is NOT. The bellow may also have started to rip or tear inside the door which may not be noticeable until you pull the folds of the bellow back and look underneath it. I hope this helps.
