Reset a printer that will not connect wirelessly

Usually disconnecting the router and printer works. I would power the router up first than the printer.

The solution that works best for me is to reserve at the router a block of Ip addresses that it can not assigned by the router.. Than on the printer I manually set the Ip address(static) one of the blocked Ip addresses. I than use the manually set Ip address of the printer in locating the access with my PC. The prohibits the router from changing the Ip address resulting in the printer getting lost in the network from the computer when I want to print.

Hope this helps.

Can this be set-up wireless, and if so how ?

no it can't however it should have a 10/100Base-TX ethernet port. You should be able to plug it into a Wireless Router and be able to access it via an ethernet ip network. However you would have to set the laser fs-1118mfp printer to an appropiate IP address and subnet mask and set the router to issue DCHP to Ip addresses outside the printer range of IP addresses. So for example 192.168.0.1 router 192.168.0.2 could be assigned to printer and DHCP leases assigned to 192.168.0.10 - 192.168.0.254 using a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 for all the ip addresses. The router could communicate with laptops via wireless but each laptop would need the laptop operating system driver for the printer added and the ip address would be 192.168.0.2 for the printer. it could also be done on 10.0.0.whatever 10.0.0.1 router 10.0.0.2 printer 10.0.0.10 -10.0.0.254 DHCP server leases. If you have a ethernet network already you could just add a wireless access point to the network .

How can i configure the IP for the printer HP laserJet P2015dn? what is the address that I can access this printer from my PC via web brower?

For configuring the IP address on the printer, you will have to browse the printer menu, and the IP or TCP/IP should be under Network. Here is basic information about troubleshooting network issues from HP website.

Once you have set up an IP address to your printer you will be able to connect from PC via the web browser by typing in the IP address of the printer.

Hello i just want to know ip address for dell 2350 exp like an 192.168.1.1 is okay or give me right one to change the setup from settings thanks

I'm going to guess here, since the 192.168.1.1 is a Verizon address I think you are asking how you find out the IP address of the printer.

If your printer has a front panel, then you can go through the printer's menus until you find the network settings page. Then you can add the put in the IP address of the printer.

That's a fairly tough task. Is there some reason that you can't just go to the printer properties and share the printer?

Did you use the Windows Network Wizard to create a local network (peer to peer)?

Printer will stop printing and you have to turn it off to make it restart? What can I do to repair the problem?

It looks like a communication issue. It seems that the printer is quiting to communicate with the computer intermittently.

If the printer is on network, you may want to reset the printer IP address and reinstall the printer driver to test.

Cold reset unlocks menus that have been previously locked and sets all control panel menu items (including EIO settings) back to the factory defaults. However, it does not clear the values in the
SERVICE
NOTE: Before performing a cold reset, print a menu map and a configuration page
1. Turn the device off.
2. Turn the device on. When the memory count begins, press and hold the check button. Continue holding down the check button until all three device control-panel lights flash once and then remain on. This might take up to 10 seconds
3. After the message SELECT LANGUAGE appears on the display, press the arrow up and arrow down buttons until COLD RESET is highlighted.
4. Press the check button. The device performs a cold reset and then continues its power-on sequence.
5. Check all I/O settings and reset any customer-set device configuration values.

Print a configuration page from the Printer INformation Menu after restarting the printer. The IP address would ideally be a different one if your network is a DHCP network. If not, you will have to manually configure the IP address on the printer. You may do that by accessing the Configure Menu on the PRinter control panel.

Try configureing the printer driver to the new IP address. It should solve the issue.

If that doesnt work, you may want to download a new driver from the website and install it.

Printer unable to obtain IP address

Reset the TCP/IP information. To do so, Turn off the printer power. With the cartridge door open, hold down both cancel and continue buttons and power the printer on. Hold the buttons until the lights cycle. The TCP/IP information should be cleared. Wait a few minutes. The printer should pick up a new IP address from the network, or should set a default IP. Press the Continue button to print a new test page, and you should see the new address.
