The cases need to be split and the lever needs to be fixed so that it grips the notches that hold it in place. It may be a bent lever or a loose pivot screw.

Kitchen aid mixer turn itsef off

There are several potential reasons why your KitchenAid dough mixer might be shutting off. Here are a few possible causes:
Overheating: If the mixer has been running for an extended period of time, the motor may overheat and shut off as a safety precaution. In this case, you should allow the mixer to cool down for a while before using it again.
Faulty wiring: If the mixer is shutting off when you turn it on or when you change the speed, there may be a problem with the wiring. You should check the wiring to see if there are any frayed or damaged wires that could be causing the issue.
Clogged air vents: The mixer may shut off if the air vents are clogged, as this can cause the motor to overheat. You should check the air vents to make sure they are clean and unobstructed.
Failed motor: If none of the above issues are present, the problem could be with the motor itself. A failed motor can cause the mixer to shut off, and it may need to be replaced.
If you are not comfortable troubleshooting the mixer yourself, you should consider contacting KitchenAid customer service or a professional appliance repair service for assistance.

Why does it turn on, run for about 10 seconds, will not change speeds, then turns itself off?

Try hitting us with a model number. Kitchen Aid have made lots of mixers and they are not all the same.

Motor head on Kitchen Aid KSM150PSWW is loose when in operation.

Are you engaging the head lock during operation? if not that is why it is loose. If you are it is not uncommon for the head to move around a little under heavy loads, when I make bread the head is always trying to come up so I have to use the head lock switch whenever I use the mixer on bread. It is the only time I lock it down.

My wife's Kitchen Aid Artisan 325W mixer has no high end speed. I tried a new set of brushes with no change. Then starting on speed 1 to 2 and from 2 to 4 you get a nice speed increase the speed the...

You need to adjust the mixer speeds. Obtain a copy of the KSM150 Repair Part List from Kitchenaid.com. Remove the screw holding the End Cover and locate the three screws from the Control Plate. All three (2 top left and right, and 1 bottom) must all be adjusted. 1. Loosen the lock nuts enough & Turn the 2 top screws clockwise until they cannot be turned
anymore. Leave the bottom screw alone for now.
2. Use a dab of white paint or paper whiteout to mark the positions of the Phillips screws.
3. Plug in your mixer and Set the speed selector to "Stir".
4. Turn each top screw One full turn couterclockwise (alternating between Left and Right)
Keep making one full turn at the time (for both left and right) until the motor starts running.
5. Put your hand near the Agitator shaft and allow it to brush your finger slightly. Use your
watch or clock and start counting the number of times the shaft touches your finger in
60 seconds. The correct count should be 60 RPM (Rounds Per Minute). If it is less
or more than 60, give each screw 1/4 turn counterclockwise or clockwise and start counting
again. Now tighten both lock nuts.
6. Set the speed selector to "6" and turn the bottom screw either clockwise or counterclockwise
to achieve a speed of 180 RPM.

For your reference, the planetary RPM's for the 5-qt. tilt-head Artisan Stand Mixer are as follows:
Stir speed - 60
Speed 2 - 95
Speed 4 - 135
Speed 6 - 180
Speed 8 - 225
Speed 10 - 280

What kind of grease can be used on a stand mixer after replacing a stripped worm gear? model:K45SS

Food grade grease is what Kitchen Aid put into the gearbox originally. They do supply it as a spare part if you cannot find it as a non Kitchen Aid part.

Stir/first level goes fullspeed and then turns off automatically

It shouldn't do that, and I really doubt there's anything you can do about it other than to have the defective part replaced. It sounds to me as though there's a problem with the control mechanism. If the machine is still under warranty, contact Kitchenaid to see about getting it repaired or replaced. If not, get the name of a local shop that repairs Kitchenaid mixers -- from your description of the problem, the mixer is nearly unless in its current state.

Kitchen Aid 10 speed 325watts

Some of the gears may have broken or slipped off. You'll need t open it up to see why the shaft from the motor will not spin or you will burn out the motor with the power on trying to make it go. It might be a DIY job if you can see an obvious problem like a slipped gear, otherwise take it to a repair specialist.
