The water dispenser has stopped working,as well at the ice cube dispenser. There is no motor noise when pushing the ice dispenser.

I don't think the water line is frozen, since the ice cube dispenser doesn't operate at all.It also appears to be making ice,but the water dispenser does nothing,it sounds electrical?

Hi, My Frigidaire ref#LGHC2342LF is not disensing ice cube or crushed. Water is fine. Ice is made but when pushing to dispense nothing (not even a motor noise). Any recommendations ? TIA

I appreciate your inquiry, friend!

From what you have described your Frigidaire refrigerator is not dispensing ice but it is dispensing water. Since you are not hearing any noise it sounds like you could have a problem with the auger or motor. I would recommend consulting with a professional technician for a proper diagnosis and repair to be completed. This will prevent you from purchasing any unnecessary part purchases. I hope this information is helpful to you. -Matt

I have a Kenmore side by side, not sure the model, but it's probably 10 years old or so. It has an ice maker with water, cube and crushed ice dispenser. The ice maker works fine, but it will not dispense...

Most of the time the bin has been removed and not put back in properly. When this happens ice blocks the drive motor. Remove the bin and turn the auger by hand make sure it will turn and is not jammed. Now with the bin out push the light button in that turns the light out and have someone push the button for ice while the door is still open the motor should turn in the back make sure thereis no ice blocking it. If it turns nothing is wrong with the motor. The clicking sound is usually the motor jammed by ice or the auger not engaged on the motor. hope this helps good luck

In door water and ice cube not working

Water dispenser is a simple touch switch in door energizing a solenoid water valve behind ventilation grate above refrigerator. Water tube runs down into and ends at ice dispenser chute. Should hear solenoid click at top of fridge when activate water touch switch. Can unhook discharge side of solenoid valve temporarily to prove water output. If water dispenser tube acts blocked it could be frozen where it ends-look up the hole at the bottom of refrigerator control buttons.
Ice maker is totally different system. No clicking when push ice button but ice in bulk tray may mean the simplest of malfunctions: Ice bin not pushed in the last half inch if ice auger not lined up with drive pegs. There are hidden switches behind ice bin that need to be engaged or nothing will happen in the ice maker: no auger noise, no clicking, no new ice making. Ice bin will be flush with sheet metal if it is in the right spot. Also plastic juice rack won't hang properly if ice bin not pushed in all the way.

NO ICE AND IS MAKING FUNNY NOISE

I also have the same model as you. My problem with the ice maker has been build-up of ice under the cube pan which holds the crusher and cubes. ( I pulled the pan out and cleaned up the ice, pushed and re-seated the pan against the back of the freezer where it connects into the crusher motor). In a day or 2 it was working fine again. I got this problem because my son was pullying the pan out and emptying all the ice-cubes into his cooler for his bottles of water and soda., He was not pushing the pan back far enough to seat into the motor of the crusher and this left room for the ice to accumulate under the pan and pushing it forward away from the crusher motor which makes a loud noise when the pan is not seated correctly. There is another problem I had because the freezer was opened to often. The door dispenser became warm and the crushed ice accumulated in the dispenser and froze there, so if I opened the door, ice-cubes would fall out of the pan all over the floor. Also check the back of the pan where the crusher connects to the motor, mine was full of frozen moisture turned to ice which kept the crusher from seating properly. If this is not your problem then I would call a repairman as doing it yourself can be expensive because you may buy a part and then find out the old one was ok and it still doesn't work. Ice maker parts are very expensive .If you are positive that you know what is wrong then by all means fix-it. Also check your frozen food if it is frozen solid or soft, you may have a completely different problem than the ice-maker. Hope I helped some.
