My dog has yellow looking worms like rice in his stooland I bought him an otc meds for him. Charlie still has them and I cant afford the vet. What other otc can I buy?

* Check if they are trying to cough up something but only clear liquid or food is expelled.

* Otherwise, check the diet and what foods are eaten.
* Note restricted foods; Onions, Grapes, Nuts, Chocolate, Garlic (though some say 1 clove a week is okay to control worms.)

Hi Carolyne,You will have to take your baby to the vet and have them treat it and hopefully they can get rid of them,there's nothing you can buy to get rid of them.I have 3 Yorkies,and every month I call my vet to get 3 doses of TRIFEXIS,you can only get this thru your vet,they have to be tested yearly for heartworms and intestinal worms.The test for each of my baby's is 32 dollars,it also treats it for intestinal worms and it controls fleas,they never had a flea in their life.You will have to spend the cost but you need to get your baby to the vet as soon as possible,also get a rabie shot,owning a pet is not cheap.The monthly TRIFEXIS is about 30 dollars per dog.Check this link out. Dogs and cats can pick up worms by eating wild prey. Or can pick up worms from other animals droppings. A vet is the best place to get dewormers.
