Lot's of people have your problem. Try Googling *Nobis NB09 stuck on Go*. I happen to have a Nobis NB09 myself and can say with utmost confidence that it is a POS. The problem, from what I've experienced and read is a whole bunch of units with defective internal SD card memory which results in the App partition not being seen or available to the operating system.
Since the reset button didn't work, there is a small chance a factory reset might work to at least get you into the set-up process so you can check the app partition memory status. I suspect, like mine, it will say 00.0 bytes available. This is the top graph shown in Settings > Storage.
Anyway to do a factory data wipe/reset do the following: with the tablet powered off,
1) press and hold down at the same time the power button
and the volume (-) button. After about five seconds you will see
the Nobis screen. Continue to hold both buttons down. The
Nobis screen will go away. Continue to hold down both
buttons until a green android appears along with green text.
Release both buttons.
2) Look at the lines of text. One of them will say something like
Wipe Data/Factory Reset. Use the volume(+) button to scroll
to it and select it by using the power button.
3) another screen should appear with a bunch of *no no no no*
lines and one line for a go ahead. Scroll to the go ahead line
using the volume (+) button and engage it using the power
button. It should then do the factory reset bit and then a
screen will come up giving the option to power it off.
4) Power it off, wait at least ten seconds and if it doesn't power
back on then push down and hold down the power button
until the Nobis screen comes up. Release the power button
and wait. Allow the boot up process to run it's course. This
could take several minutes - up to ten minutes from some
reports with the GO screen showing. If your unit is not
completely borked in probably about three to five minutes
it will finally boot into the set up screen.
If it does this enter your google email info, etc and it will eventually go to a you are ready to go screen. The first thing you should do is go to Setting > Storage and check out the top bar graph. If it's green all the way across and says 00.0 bytes then your memory
is defective and your app partition unavailable. If this is the case the tablet won't remember any changes and it won't be able to upload any updates or optional apps. Every time you turn it off and start it back up you will have to again go through the set up process. The only recourse is if it's under warranty to contact Nobis now Bidwell and see if they will issue you a RMA number so your can return it for repair. I did this and they repaired mine and
returned it. It worked for about two weeks and AGAIN the memory went bad. I tried to get another RMA and they gave me the runaround. So I told them to go take a flying leap and that I'd be letting everybody know their product is defective and they don't stand behind it.
If you Google NobisNB09 stuck on GO you will find many angry people who have the same problem. Rarely does the factory reset procedure work to fix it. IMO they have a problem with faulty internal SD chips. So, what I'm saying is you may not be able to fix the problem other than trying to get an RMA and sending it back for repair if it's still in the warranty period.
Here is the factory reset procedure.
1) press and hold at the same time both the power button and the volume(-) button.
2) keep holding them until you see the Nobis screen, Then it will go off. Keep on holding both buttons down for perhaps ten or fifteen more seconds and finally you will see a screen with some green text options
3) Among the options is one that says something like "wipe data/factory reset.
4) Using the volume (+) button scroll to it and then press the power button once to select it.
5) Another screen will come up with text options of no, no no for five or six lines with one that has a go ahead for the reset option. Again, using the volume (+) to scroll to the reset option and select it using one push of the power button.
6) you will get a reboot option.
7) reboot by pushing the power button, it will turn off.
8) Give it a minute or so and then push the start button and
hold it until you see the Nobis screen. Let it go and wait. If the hardware's OK it will go through the initialization routine which
should take several minutes. Anything more than about ten
minutes without going to the set up screen indicates you have
bad hardware such as a faulty internal SD memory.
One hint: turn off your wi-fi router so it can't connect to wi-fi.
It will boot up with the wi-fi ON and it will connect to any open
router it can find and commence to download updates for all the apps. This makes it take forever and can completely fill
up the available app partition memory and result in another failure to boot up next time.
IMO the Nobis NBOP is a POS! I have one so I know.
1. Press the power button and the home button together or Power button and Volume button together for a while, long enough till the Android boot mode screen appears. Press home button to reach the options under boot mode. Navigate through the options using volume key and select "Wipe Data Factory Reset"option using shortcut menu button. Again navigate to the option "delete- all user data" and select it using shortcut menu button. (Make sure memory card is not inside; otherwise the data on it will be lost). After the data is deleted, a message saying "Data Wipe Complete" appears. Press the shortcut menu button to reboot the tablet again. Now, your tablet is as fresh as a new tablet
First, turn your tablet off. Then, power the tablet back up by holding down the volume (either + or - ) and power buttons simultaneously. Continue holding the volume button until the screen says "Booting tablet in recovery mode." This will give you a picture of an Android. Tap the android, and you will be given a screen with several options. Move between the options with the + and -, and select with the power button.
Hi there! Ignore the other answer, they're giving a generic Google search result. On the screen with the Android, press the power and both volume buttons all together in quick intervals until a new screen pops up. Use the volume keys to select Data Wipes/Factory Reset, then do the same for yes, then restart the tablet
guess is that the float level is not closing (need to open float bowl and clean everything inside with carb cleaner. Confirm that the float is operating (up and down) . Reassemble and try again...should be fine.
Sounds like you have some type of software corruption. What I'd do is try to factory reset the device. This will wipe the tablet, but at least you'll have it working again!
To factory reset your phone, Just follow this simple steps below: *Turn off your Tablet *Press and hold Power key and Volume down key at the same time *Release the keys when the recovery mode appears, then navigate using volume up key to Wipe All user data and use the power key to select that option *Wait for a DONE message that will appear in your phone. *Then restart your phone using the power key. Done!
Take a microSD card out of the slot. (Empty the microSD card slot.)
Press and hold down the power button for a few seconds while pressing and holding down the "Home" (Silver Push Button) button. (Both "Power" and "Home" buttons must be pressed down until he see the phrase "upgrade system activated" in the middle of the screen.
Release both buttons once the phrase "upgrade system activated" appears on the screen.
Wait until it reboots. You will see the following sentences on the left top corner of the screen: Can not find any update image. Press MENU/KEY_VOLUMEUP key to init SD card, Press BACK/KEY_VOLUMEDOWN key to cancel.
Press the "VOLUME UP" key. The volume up key is located at the left side of the unit and the button is closer to the built-in camera than the volume down button.
Wait until it finishes making a partition and shut down the system automatically.
Once the unit is turned off, your system will be reset to the factory settings. Thus, your previous data are lost at this point.
