I finally was able to contact this God awful company and promptly blown off with "empty" promises of replacement parts. They only had some of them. They proceeded to yell at me about not using the toy correctly. I told them that a helicptor of a suggested retail price of $99.95 certainly should have held up better which they quickly changed the subject. The people that answer the phone are totally rude and you must demand to speak to a supervisor which grudgingly answer your questions. I suggested for them to check this web site to see what people are saying. Here is the phone number for them 949 587-9207. Good luck

  • Anonymous Jan 06, 2008

We have cracked the sleve that the bar (holding the tail fin & tail motor) slides into just under the main motor. This piece that cracked has wiring routed through a hole in this piece. This wiring goes from the circuit board into the tail fin and motor bar. Without a solid piece the tail fin bar will slide out and fall off during flight.

  • Anonymous Feb 29, 2008

We didn't even get a first flight; the tail rotor broke x-mas morning upon pre-flight testing and pot adjustment.

Seems as though this company got their money; no contact and/or replacement parts information included in the manual.

It might have cost about a dollar less profit to have included a couple of repair parts with the product. This would have at the least shown an effort in producing a viable product. I'm sure that a few minutes of testing would have shown which components were problematic.

Looks like we all got burned ! !

My son received the Hover Lites Helicopter for Xmas and today 3/26/08 was the first day with minimal wind we could try it out. We flew it twice and on the 2nd run when it landed the tail rudder broke off. I was able to glue it, but I dont know how long it will last. Where the tail rudder ties into the main frame of helicopter is truly a poor design. I am sure from the reading about others with the same product and having the same problem my glueing solution will probably not last.

The main rotor system works but the tail rotor doesn't. I have checked the wiring from the receiver to the tail motor and it is OK. The tail motor is also OK. My grandson got this as a present from his grand uncle in Maryland and on it's first trial it spiraled into the air and crashed. Most of the damage is repairable except the main rotor blade connector. It broke in half. I can replace it if I can get a new one. The tail rotor problem appears to be either the transmitter or the receiver electronics (circuit board). This unit is a 27 band unit. Thanks for any help. I have EXACTLY the same problem with a Hoverlites by: Blue Hat Toy Company. Actually I have TWO of them. The blade holder assembly broke in half on one side at the place where the blade screws on. The result is a blade broken off and no way to repair it. I can't help but notice that at the time of this writing 88 other people have REPORTED exactly the same problem. It makes you wonder how many MORE copters there are out there that are defective and are NOT reported. This toy obviously has a serious problem. I HAVE TWO OF THEM!!

  • diveritis Jun 06, 2008

To fix the tail rotor problem is the little white gear is installed the wrong way. Slip it off and reverse it. Looks like a rice grain.

Make sure the antenna wire (RED) is hooked to the little screw.

Make sure the rotors and the small black thing on top of the rotor are very free. Should just be able to flip and they come back to even. If free but unlevel use a piece of tape to balance. Check all screws to make sure that they are tight. Mine had almost all screws loose to barely holding the screw in.

Just bought one today and my buddy help get it going. He has 3 and learned the hard way. The Cockpit holder is not straight normaly but there is a screw you can pull it our and do some bending and make it right.

Hope this helps to make most of your problems go away.

These are pretty cheap, but fun. I mounted some plastic rockets on the front to help with the front downward motion, also moved the battery back two spaces, added extra zip ties and lithium grease for the tail rotor. So far 10 flights and still going. Our CVS had them on clearance for $9.99 so I bought 2 extra for spare parts. Adding the extra weight really helped slow it down for control. Adding a wireless micro camera, should be interesting.

The hoverlite is the same as a Syma 9093. All the parts fit.
Order enough parts to make the shipping worth while.
Rotor head part that holds the blades breaks easy. Tail motors burn out easily. Battery holder also weak.

Well we broke on in about 10 seconds thee other works but you can't keep it from spinning in circles!! they are really not well made. the websites don't work and I will se if they will call me back!!

Junk, for the price. Ours lasted 1 flight where the totally inappropriate rotor head broke. Was considering ordering SYMA 9093 replacement parts but decided, not worth it. We ended up machining 2 alu plates with appropriate center hole and mounted them on top and bottom of the rotor head with 4 bolts and nuts. Was flying good until my son crashed it yesterday. Must have shut of power at 30 ft ;-). The canvas definitely needs some weight for forward motion. Unless you are taking this toy as a challenge, I recommend DONT BUY. Save your grandchild from the disapointment.

A

Anonymous

Add weight to the front of the battery. tie strap some washers there untill you get the correct nose down attiude.

A

Anonymous

You return it to the store and get your money back if it's flying backwards

I brought one for my son for Christmas. First flight it crashed and broke the blade. Tried to glue it back didn't work. Need replacement blade.

I finally got in touch with this god awful company 949 587-9207. First of all, the people answering the phone are sooo rude and the supervisors seem totally uninterested in the problem. I was "promised" some of the replacement parts in 2-3 wks. but not the most important one. I suggested for them to check this web site to see what the rest of the world is saying about them. I don't intend to let this go. They were very rude when I mentioned to them that this toy was packaged with a suggested retail price of $99.95. Good luck

I just listed a bunch of spare parts on eBay for those who are interested. Buy multiple parts and pay just one shipping charge.

Our HoverLites lasted one flight -- then we lost control of it and it crashed. We still can't find it.

Junk it is, and junk it will stay. Best advice: DO NOT BUY.

Best solution would be not to buy mine lasted 3 flights JUNK !!!

I have crashed it about 10 times and as long as you have the broken parts, super glue is amazing for them, now I flew it at night and lost half of the tail rotor. Got the parts still... glue them!

Www.raidentech.com Look for replacement parts for the SYMA 9093 . They are interchangable

  • Anonymous Nov 25, 2007

http://www.raidentech.com/sy90drrchesp.h... This is a better link. Hope this helps. As for the sky scrambler... IMHO i'd ditch it and get an Air Hogs Havoc Heli from Wal Mart or Target. The Havoc Heli flys much better. The Sky Scrambler is a knock-off

Our identical twins got identical Vengeance radio controlled cars from Blue Hat Toy Company. The problem, they're on the same frequency and there are no more in town to trade one out. Can the frequency...

Because of regulations set by the authority in your (any) country which controls the radio spectrum usage, toys in particular are only allowed to operate on certain frequency bands and the transmitter must be controlled by signal sources (oscillators) that are 'crystal' controlled (quartz). These maintain a very stable signal at a specific frequency just like a 'quartz watch.' The receivers need not be that stable so the controlled toy has a simpler circuit that can be tuned but this isn't useful in your case since that would only result in reducing the sensitivity (range) unless the transmitter crystal was changed.
I'm sure the manufacturer has anticipated the possibility that two or more of these toys might be operated in close proximity and probably has multiple models with different crystals available but unless you can contact them, this won't do you much good as you would likely have to return the toy to have it changed.
