Change my account number with kindle

I always thought accounts were set up by email address and name. Or is it your credit card number you need to update? For that log into amazon.com Place cursor on your account and lists, about halfway down click on Manage content and devices. On far right is settings. Give all the info about your account. At the top you will see the last 4 of current card with a box next to it says. Edit payment method. click that and make needed changes.

How can I pay for kindle unlimited early?

I notice they automatically charge your 1-click account when it's due. Have you set up payment info?
Another way to have the money available, is to buy a gift card for your account. Then you can add money to it anytime. That way it doesn't affect your bank balance unless you fall below the needed amount. I haven't joined unlimited yet so the gift card lets me buy books when I see them and not worry about my bank account.

Log on and look for a circled text " My Paypal". Click this and you go to your account and can find a little "gear" on top of page. Click this and you can change payment info.

I am trying to order a new book, but the Kindle says I need to update my payment information how do I do that

Noretta,
Manage Your Fire & Kindle Payment Settings
  1. Manage your content and Devices.
  2. From Settings, select Edit Payment Method below Digital Payment Settings.
  3. Select the desired credit card information, or add a new card, and then click Continue.
  4. Enter the desired billing address, and then click Continue. You will be taken back to theDigital Payment Settings page where you can view your edited 1-Click payment method.
Follow the link below labeled "Help Search Results". It will take you to Amazons help site and give you the same instructions as above but will ask you to log into your account so you can actually do the above process without have to search around for the correct links.
