When I want to soak clothes the chemical directions are by gallons. So I would like to know 1. at the lowest fill how many gallons, mid fill how many gallons and max fill how many gallons of Water ONLY no clothes!
The Series 80 washer has a max capacity of 20 gallons. At the lowest water level setting you would have between 14.5 and 15 gallons.
I know I said it isid it is a series 80, but it also says it is an "extra capacity PLUS" So are you sure your information is correct?
Kenmore used that designation for two different sizes of machine, a 3.2 cu/ft and 3.5 cu/ft. 3.2 cubic feet is just under 24 gallons (filled to the top) and 3.5 cubic feet is just slightly over 26. Obviously the washer is not filling to complete capacity. The 20 gallons of water is the Kenmore specification for both machines, the difference being the amount of dirty laundry witch will fit. If you would like to test this, shut off the water to the machine, start the machine and add measured amounts of water until the machine starts to agitate.

remove the hoses and clean the screens if this does not solve the problem you will need to replace the water valve

when empty and off, open the lid and see if you can rotate the inner wash basket by hand. if you can easily, then the clutch is worn. This will prevent the basket from going into a high spin and wringing the clothes out. Replace the clutch by removing the top control panel, removing the clips that hold the cabinet, pull cabinet off, remove drain pump clips and pump, remove motor clips and motor, remove transmission (3 bolts). Now you will have access to the clutch, replace as needed, reverse dissasembly to complete. remember to unplug.

you may need to replace the level selector switch itself... if it has a reset option ( usually near the large side of the button, w/it plugged in, turn the switch all the way to reset, unplug the machine and then plug it back in. ) this has been known to work on occasion....hope this helps

For low water volume - or "Trickling" effect...
1. Turn off the water supply to both hoses.
2. Remove hoses (one at a time so you don't get them confused)
3. On the washer side - look for a removeable screen inside wher you just removed the hose.
4. Using a small screwdriver - pop out the screen and reverse-flush it/clean it. It will likely be full of sediment and calcium deposits from your pipes.
5. Replace the inlet screens.
6. Re-fit the hose to the machine.
7. Turn on water supply valves.
8. re-try.
