I just received my Tomtom Go2535TM gps. There is no sound. What is wrong?

Settings, voice, picked voice then push test. Nothing. Tried turning up voice. Nothing. Turn sound off, then back on. Nothing. Reset to factory setting. Nothing. Plug into car to charge battery. Tried again. Nothing. Put in Distanation and drove there to see if it would say directions. nothing.

SOURCE: No Sound on my Tomtom one 3rd edition GPS

I did a hard reset (hit the reset button on the bottom with the power on) and the sound was restored when I powered it up. No settings or favorites were lost.

Check if your audio jack is loose. This can be soldered, I know a gps repair shop that charge $59 for that.

SOURCE: tomtom doesn't have sound.

It could be that the sound is kept at a very low level. Tap on the bottom left hand corner. A volume slider will pop up. If the volume is at a very low level increase it by sliding your finger over the slide towards the right hand side. Hope this will solve your problem.

Audio directions

You must ensure that your volume is not on mute. You need to tap on where the words are, not on the map, until the volume slide bar pops up. You may have to tap in different places until it does. If your volume is set normally, you need to check on which voice you have picked. It's under the options. Pick a different voice and test out the directions.

Tomtom 1 stopped talking

Check in preferences > Change Voice to make sure that a voice is selected. If it is, it probably corrupted. Pick a new voice. If none of the other voices work, plug your TomTom into your computer and boot up TomTom HOME and reinstall the voices. If after that they still don't work, contact TomTom support and ask them for advice. They will probably have you send it in for repair on broken speakers.

Please rate, Thank you!
