Try to turn it on manually by the power switch - not by using the remote control. Try to unplug it for an hour or more to discharge the power system, then try again.
This is due to the safety features in the power supply section. If there is a problem somewhere in the monitor there will be a feedback provided to the power supply and the system shuts down to avoid any major damage.

Sounds like the color wheel has shattered and the sensor is blocked by the peices. If the wheel was not blocked you would have a black and white picture.
You may have one of them set to the wrong DPL code. Most FRS radios have a channel number and another number that corresponds to a DPL code. Try looking in your owners manual for this feature it may be known under a different description as each company calls it different things. DPL, PL, private code, user code etc.
