Using the remote press either "input" repeatedly until you see what you'd like on the screen, or press TV/sat.

SOURCE: No Signal

You will have changed the video/audio input, on your tv, it should be an input button on remote. The signal will either be on AV1, AV2, AV3 Component or HDMI.

SOURCE: ViewSonic N2750w 27 in Volume turns down by itself

Could be a problem with the down volume button on the tv. the board it's on ir its harness. Check them all. Make sure the volume buttons plastic actuator moves freely and is not stuck.

If these parts are all good, you have a problem on the main board. You may have to trace the control lines as far as you can and check any capacitors along the way. If you have an oscilliscope you can test the lines to see if the up volume is working correctly. If there is noise on it, you might find a bad capacitor if you can trace it back far enough. Schematic helps here.

Of course, make sure nothing is shining on the sensor window on the TV. You might want to scope that line as well (IR sensor line).

If none of that helps, get hold of Viewsonic and find your closest service provider. You can order a main board from them.

Of course, you could try just using the audio out jacks to an amplifier or a surround sound amplifer. Then you would use the remotecontrol for the surround sound system to control your volume.
Bet you were going to buy one anyway right?

SOURCE: Volume and menu does not display

I had this problem on my Aquos (LC-46D62U). It was NOT a hardware problem. I recommend turning off the television. Next unplug the television for 5 to 10 seconds. This resets something for the television. Plug it back in and turn on the television. You should now be able to get your volume and other on-screen displays.

Chances are that you changed the input setting by accidentally touching the input button on the remote. If you press the input button you should see a variety of inputs to select from, try AV1, etc or HDMI1, etc but not TV. When it shows the cable channel it was previously tuned to, press select and that should fix it

Plasma screen is blue it has been taken off wall think something may have been touched/flicked

Blue screen means no input. First make sure the HMDI cable and the device you get your golf results from is properly sending the signal. After that, you can then make sure that the TV screen itself works right by using the remote to change volume and ensure that it the screen shows the volume up graphic display. Once you know that is in working order, make sure you are on the right input channel by looking at where you input is plugged in to and setting the TV to that input via the remote. You can repeatedly hit the input button to cycle through the inputs if you want to be sure. (there are 8 of them) The last thing you can try is assume that the input you are using is bad and switch to another. (Go from HMDI 1 to HMDI 3)

I have a brand new Aquos 52" LED TV and I accidentally locked remote operation and THEN found out the front touch screen panel was broken. Any way to manually reset the TV or remote to gain access to...

While the set is turned on, you need to hold the power button until the set shuts off and the led in the middle of the bottom flashes once. Then quickly release the power button and press the vol - and input buttons together along with the power button. Your TV should then turn on and should show you a blue box with the letter K. Now press the vol- and channel- buttons at the same time. You should now be in the service menu. With your remote arrow up until the top line says industry init. Arrow to the right and hit enter. Screen should turn green and say factory init success. I hope this helps you.

Hi, i was trying to turn down the volume on my tv (its an insignia) and i accidentally hit the channel button and i think it messed up the programming of my tv to my cable box. what should i do?

try setting the tv to channel 3 or 4. if that does not work, try finding a "input" or "source" or video" button on the remote and cycle thru them, this should get you back up and running. remember to have the cable box turned on during this so youll see when it comes back on.
