Lg tv automatically turn on and off. Power surge

Lg tv automatically turn on and off. Problem look like power surge. Absolutely no power coming into the tv but for about 15 mins later the tv automatically turn on and about 5mins it turning off by itself. I unplug the outlet and let the tv sit without power for 2 days and plug it back on, tv worked again for about 1 or 2 hrs it went back to the old problem. TV keep turn on and off by itself. Auto timer off is turn OFF.

Don't touch the main TV board. Change the T-com board. The screen will come back to full size.

I have a lg 65lb5200 tv that sometimes i turn it on and it has no picture.

It seems to me the tv is not getting enough power to turn on. make sure the tv is pluged into a surge protector and then to the wall. no power strips with other things pluged in. all by itself to the plug. you always want to put a surge protector on all the small and big electronics for if you do not if lightin come in it would burn everything up. you might have had ligting come in and that is why some of your stuff is having problems now. if you own he home get a whole house serge protector. it will save you in the long run becuase if there is surge from the power company or from lighting then all your stuff will be protected.

Replaced entire power supply board on our lg tv because the capacitors had gone bad. Now the tv comes on for a few seconds then turns itself off. Any ideas?

It might be too late for it seems lighting has already got to it. We have had some pretty bad storms and if you do not have surge protection then that is what is wrong it is fried.

Why do I lose my recording schedule when I turn TV off? If TV is on Humax records perfectly.

Do you have a power strip or surge protector that recognizes when the power is disabled to the primary item, it automatically disables power to all other items? Easy way to check is to turn tv off and look for lights on other items plugged into surge protector.

When pressing the remote's 'on' button tv won't come on

does it power on using the power switch on the tv itself instead of the remote? if same thing happens when pressing the power on switch on the tv directly, try to test it on another power outlet. if it is connected through a surge protector or avr, see if connecting it directly through the outlet works.

try to also check if the power on switch of the tv is somehow stuck which may cause it to try to cycle on and off and same thing on the remotes on/off button.

now if this is specific to the use of a remote, replacing the battery might help.

Have power to my tv but screen will come on

Unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket. Plug it back after 5 minutes or so. this must make the TV to a hard reset. Try this.

An electrical pulse from the thunderstorm has affected your TV. (Was it on a surge protector?)

There is a small possibility that it will come back.

Unplug the television and let it sit for an hour or more and then re-plug it.

If you need to get a new TV, also get a good surge protector such as Panamax.

Blown Fuse LG LCD

Unplug tv and let it set for a couple of hours. Remove the back panel, the fuse is located somewhere near where the power chord comes in. Remove fuse and replace with one of the same rating.
