My tablet want come on what's wrong with it - Tablets & eReaders

I've had the same problem with my RCA 10 inch tablet. I have charged it, tried the hard reset, used different chargers and even different outlets, and held the power button on for 60+ seconds with NO RESULTS! My recommendation is to contact RCA, which is what I am doing, and request an immediate replacement if yours is still under the 1 year manufacturers warranty. If you look these tablets up, you will see (as I have found) that this is apparently a common problem with the tablets. Wish I had known that prior to purchasing!

A bit like saying my car won't start, what;s wrong with it..

However, let's try a few suggestions {:o)

• have you tried charging the battery? If it's a new Tablet, it may have arrived with the battery fully discharged

• Does the tablet run when the battery charger is connected and powered on? The charger should easily both run the tablet and simultaneously charge the battery.

• Is there any sign of life at all when either you plug in the battery charger, or when you press the power button? When the charger is plugged in and powered on with the Tablet turned OFF, the screen should light up for a few seconds with a charging battery image. If it doesn't, then either the charger or the Tablet is dead

• You may not be aware that the power button has to be held on for 5 - 10 seconds (depending upon brand and model) to turn on a tablet computer unless it's only in standby mode. Try holding the power button on for at least 7 seconds, then release it and see if the tablet starts up.
