My Frigidaire Affinity electric dryer will not start cycle because it is detecting "door open" even though door is securely closed. How can I troubleshoot this?
Repairman came to look, checked door switch and it was fine. He saw a faulty wire and thought that might be the problem, but after he replaced the wire, the dryer still will not start.

I interpret that you are having trouble with your Frigidaire dryer (FASE7073NW) not starting. Let's try resetting your dryer by flipping the household circuit breaker to the off position. It is necessary to wait roughly ten minutes and then turn on your dryer. Confirm that the door is securely closed and select a cycle. If resetting the power does not correct the issue, I have identified that it could potentially mean a number of things: a potential wiring failure, damaged cord, faulty door latch assembly or control board. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would personally contact a professional to accurately diagnose your dryer to determine the root cause to reduce the risk of unnecessary parts. Best regards!
I understand that your Frigidaire dryer door keeps popping open during the cycle. I suggest making sure that the door has been completely closed before starting the cycle. If this is done, and the door is still popping open, there might be something going on with the door latch. I suggest contacting your local authorized technician for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose your appliance and determine why the door keeps opening mid-cycle. Hope this is helpful.
I understand your Frigidaire dryer is experiencing a shutoff issue. It is possible that you may either have a communication error from the main control board or the timer itself may not be operating correctly. Let's try resetting your dryer by either unplugging it or flipping the household circuit breaker to the off position. It is best to wait roughly ten minutes and then turn on your dryer. Confirm that the door is securely closed and select a cycle. If resetting the power does not correct the issue, you may want to connect with a local servicer who will be best equipped to pinpoint the problem. If you don't know a qualified technician, you can use the service locator option on the manufacturer site to find one near you.
It could be the door is coming open just enough to trigger the switch to the off position. Even though the door looks closed it could be partially open. Most likely the clips that hold the door shut are not tight enough that when the clothes hit the door it pops open a little bit. These clips are basically springs and over time they loosen up.
