Common error with front loaders is the door interlock. Make sure the door is positively closed. A gentle open hand push at the erea of the door lock often gets a machine started.
Most probably your door lock is damaged. You are not supposed to force it open, you have to wait for at least 2 minutes (or till the lock sign is off) after the wash is over to open the door, never force it. You can just google your model number and search for parts to obtain it. It is quite possible you can change it yourself. See that the line is disconnected from the mains.
Sounds like the door latch is stuck or broken. There is a gear in the side of the latch that turns when it hits the striker bolt on the door frame. You can try taking a screwdriver and pushing on the gear to see if it will move. You can look at one of the other doors to see how it is supposed to work.
to open door with child lock activated, insert a plastic strip( i used from Milk bottle) from outside where the child lock is. Try to push plastic in such a way the child lock push from closed position to open position. Myself did it in 3 attempts and door was able to open from inside in megane fidji 51 reg.
If door won't close and you don't have a child-lock, just push the door closed a lot harder than you normally would - NEFF manual says to do that, and it worked for me! I think it just forces it to engage and 'releases' the catch, as after that it closed with just normal pressure applied.
