SOURCE: ariston margherita wont drain and selector knob keeps turning

Plug off the wall first. The spin normally does not work when the outlet filter is clogged; be prepared for a flood of water. If the filter is clean you should then check your pipe coming out from under the tub. Last check your outlet pump, could be blocked with something. Refit carefully, you might need a nice pair of pliers to get the grip clip on and off the pipes.
You can also drain water from the tub thru the rear hose in the wall. Keep bucket handy. The outlet pipe into the wall stands at a particular height, refit exactly to this height, about 3 feet from ground. Do not push the pipe too much down the stand pipe.

SOURCE: How to remove the washer cycle selection/start-stop knob on a Whilpool Heavy Duty Thin Twin stacked washer dryer

I believe the selector knob on a Whirpool just has to be turned counter-clockwise with the selector pushed in. It will spin off the shaft and then the outer indicator dial will pull off. The shaft also has a keyed slot that will only allow the dial to be removed and installed one way, so there should be no question as to how it goes back on.

Was there a reason as to why you are removing the washer selector knob? If this is a simple matter of replacing a broken water temperature selector, you shouldn't have to remove any of the control knobs to gain access to the selector. The entire front panel comes off by removing the screws holding it in place. That way you can access the broken selector from behind the front panel much easier. Just remove the panel right above the washer top (under the dryer) and it should expose the front panel mounting screws. Remove these screws and the front panel comes off. Just make sure the unit is unplugged before you begin. I hope this helps you. Let me know if you need further assistance.

SOURCE: hotpoint washer mod wlw2500b selector switch not engaging

It appears your timer/main controller has failed in this instance.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question!!!

How do you dry clothes in this machine please

A fairly common problem! The official instructions are

Before using your dryer, wipe the dryer drum with a damp cloth to
remove dust from storing and shipping.
1. Load clothes loosely into the dryer and close the door. Do not
pack the dryer. Allow space for clothes to tumble freely.
2. Turn the Cycle Control knob to the recommended cycle for the type of load being dried. Use the Energy Preferred Automatic Setting (,) to dry most heavyweight and medium weight loads. See "Drying, Cycle, and Temperature Tips."
3. Select a temperature setting on models with a Temp/Fabric selector. The cycle descriptions include temperature setting suggestions.
4. Push the START button.

Stopping and Restarting
You can stop your dryer any time during a cycle.
To stop your dryer
Open the dryer door or turn the Cycle Control knob to OFE
NOTE: The Cycle Control knob should point to an Off area when
the dryer is not in use.
To restart your dryer
1. Close the door.
2. Select a new cycle and temperature (if desired).
3. Press START

Triton caselona water temperature

Sorry to ask but are you gradually increasing the water temperature from cold to medium to hotter. Let it run a little while hot and cold mixes to give you your desired level. Also try cleaning the showerhead to remove any build ups (a maintenance issue).

No power to tredmill

Dear Sir:

Thank you by your request, I will help you right now.

Please do this step with VERY CAREFULLY!!!.

A multimeter isa versatile tool for measuring voltage and current. Electricians usemultimeters to measure alternating current, or AC, and direct current, or DC,voltages and currents. Many multimeters also measure resistance, capacitanceand temperature. For example, an electrician uses the multimeter's AC voltagesetting to determine if a wall outlet has power or if a power supply isfunctioning. This knowledge helps the electrician pinpoint the cause of anelectrical problem and select the appropriate repair. Difficulty: Moderately EasyInstructions
1.
    • 1
Plugthe black voltage probe into the voltmeter jack marked "COM."
    • 2
Plugthe red voltage probe into the voltmeter jack marked "V."
    • 3
Rotatethe range selector knob to the highest range setting, which is marked"VAC."
    • 4
Turnthe voltmeter on. Slide the power switch to the "ON" position.
    • 5
Touchthe probes to the device for which you measure the AC voltage. Use extremecaution. Ensure that the probes do not come into contact with anything but thesurface you are measuring.
    • 6
Readthe voltmeter's display. Turn the range selector knob to a lower range ifvoltage is less than the currently selected range

Onece the range selector is turned on the light comes on but soon goes out, if you move the selector a little the light comes back on, this stove was made around 1952. Thank You, Dave

Are you talking about the oven temperature control? When turned on to the selected temperature the oven indicator will light and the element will work. When the oven reaches the desired temperature the power will shut off to the element and the indicator light will go out. When the oven cools slightly the indicator light and the element will again turn on. When it does turn off and you turn the knob slightly to increase the temperature the indicator light and element will come on again as you are asking it to heat to a higher temperature. This is normal oven operation.

What is the capicity of a GE WWA7600S washer

Here is the user's manual:

They never talk about weight or capacity other than

Setting the Controls

Use the Suggested Fabric and Cycle Settings guide ~ Select Rinse Temperature.

to help you make the proper selections.

~ Select Wash Spin Speed.

~ Push Cycle Selector knob in and turn clockwise to

your selected wash setting. If you wish to change setting

~ Select Water Level. ~ Pull Cycle Selector knob + START out to start the washer.

SMALL: Washer is less than 1/3 full of clothes.

MEDIUM: Between 1/3 and 1/2 full.

LARGE: Between 1/2 and 2/3 full.

This washer will pretty much take anything you can throw at it. It was a competetor of the Maytag large capacity washers. As long as you follow the loading guide above you are not going to hurt it.

I have the same problem with my windstar blower is fine but is coming cold air but no heat i dont know what to do can any one show me how to fix it thnx

First, feel the heater hoses going into the firewall under the hood. If they are hot, then you have hot engine coolant going into the heater core. If they are not hot, then you either have a bad thermostat or you are very low on engine coolant.

Next you need air flowing through the heater core so it can come out heated through your vents. If the iar is flowing somewhere else, your temp blend door is not moving because the bend door motor is bad or your temp knob on your heater controls is bad. The blend door motor is an electric motor.

------------------------------------------------
Air Flow Control
Air flow control is accomplished in the following manner:
  • Primary control is through the function selector knob , mounted on the heater function selector switch, which is part of the heater control .
  • The function selector knob has the following positions: OFF, PANEL, PANEL/FLOOR, FLOOR, FLOOR/DEFROST and DEFROST.
  • The heater function selector switch combines a vacuum selector valve with an internal electrical switch.
  • The vacuum selector valve directs source vacuum to various vacuum control motors (18A318) . Refer to the System Airflow Schematic and Vacuum Control Charts.
  • An internal single-pole electrical switch is also controlled by the selector. The switch controls the electrical supply to the heater blower motor switch (18578) .
  • The position of the function selector knob determines the manner in which the system will operate.
  • Each position of the function selector knob is detented for positive engagement.
Temperature Control
The temperature control operates in the following manner:
  • Temperature control of the heater system is determined by the position of the temperature control knob (between COOL-BLUE and WARM-RED) of the heater control .
  • This control knob is connected to a potentiometer mounted in the heater control . This potentiometer is electrically connected to the electric blend door actuator that operates the A/C air temperature control door.

e72a310.gif

  • Movement of the control knob from COOL (Blue) to WARM (Red) causes a corresponding movement on the air temperature control door and determines the temperature that the system will maintain.
System uses a reheat method to provide conditioned air to the passenger compartment.
  • All airflow from the blower motor (18527) passes through the A/C evaporator housing .
  • Temperature is then regulated by reheating a portion of the air and blending it with the remaining cool air to the desired temperature.
  • Temperature blending is varied by the air temperature control door, which regulates the amount of air that flows through and/or around the heater core (18476) , where it is then mixed and distributed.
