Avast Web Shield keeps popping up saying it has blocked harmful webpage or file. we took out the old avast & replaced it with an upgrade -@ it still happens. Please help me on what to do- also

Don't try and remove the Web Shield too quickly, as depending upon the sites you are trying to access, it sounds as if it is doing its job of protecting from web sites which may contain harmful spyware, adware or malware.
You should run a full scan of your computer to ensure there are no viruses or unwanted software programmes or files on your computer. Try doing this whilst access to the internet is disabled, and then look at the Web Shield settings to see if the parental control setting is a bit high for what you want. For example is it set to protect young children, or set to a more adult level.
