Question about Plantronics CS55 Wireless Headset

2 Answers

My headset was working 30 minutes ago - now when i try to use it all I hear is a buzzing sound??

A coworker tried to call me and I tried to answer but all I got was a buzz. I picked up the receiver and I could hear fine? something is wrong with the headset - I tried the re-set with holding down the two buttons then got the two series of flashing lights then put it on the charger for over 30 seconds and it is still buzzing.

Hi Susie

You tried charging your headset for over 30 seconds only.
Could you please try charging the headset for its standard charging time? Let see if it still buzzing.

Turtle Beach x1's make an annoying beeping noise

If you're using the Play n Charge kit, then you might be hearing some buzz/whine through the USB power. Use the X1 without the Play n Charge. Does that help?
If you unplug the chat-controller cable from the X1 volume control box, can you now hear shots and explosions without the annoying beeping/buzzing noise? If so, then you may have a bad chat-controller cable, and you should have it replaced.

My Saitek GH20 Headset Mic Buzzing

Hello.

I had the same problem for like ten minutes ago. I have a Swedish Vista computer and don't know all the translations but I'll give it a go.
This will reduce the buzzing not remove it.

Go to the control panel and click "sound". From there go to "recording" And double click on the microphone. You should get a new screen up. Click to the second button "Levels". Now drag the "microphonestrenghning" (the bottom one) and drag it down to 0 DB.
(optional) Drag the "Microphone" up to 100.

Hope this help you. It worked for me at least. :D

Cannot hear anything out of the earpiece of my GN netcom 9120 wireless headset

I was also experiencing the same problem (also after a power failure / storm) -- apparently good battery charge, connections ok, etc. I then tried removing the battery from the headset itself, waited 30 seconds, and then reinstalled the battery. This seems to have resolved the problem.

It is fairly easy to open the clamshell, but you will need a very fine Phillips screwdriver to remove the battery hold-in (it's really not a hold-down, it just keeps the battery in place. Reassemble the same way -- be sure to keep positive to positive and negative to negative.
