I believe this is a 1980's typewriter for that model number, and it will be difficult to find a manual online. Might want to purchase the ebay item below with the manual, or make a inquiry of the seller for the manual alone.

Canon Typestar 10ii Ink Ribbons

I just got a typestar on ebay, new-still in box. I'd be happy to scan the manual and email it to you if you still need one. This is a pretty old post. But it appears the ribbons have been discontinued. I'm pretty sad, I wanted to actually use this machine lol.

If you had posted what Country you are located in, I could have ran a search to locate someone local to you that has this product in stock. I am located in California. I could give you information on compatible ribbons which are available in my area, but they may not be available in yours and that would not solve your problem.

I would suggest that you stick with the ribbon that is made for your typewriter if at all possible? If you are unable to locate stock in your Country, try ordering the ribbons online instead.

I believe there is a mode key. Press it until np appears in the display.

The platen is probably not all the way in. Be sure the black latches are lined up with the side frames and press firmly down on the platen.

Try these two sites for the manual. The typewriter you are using is very old school, so tracking manuals for them is ab it hard.
