I asked this question to Samsung support and got the following reply:

Thank you for your interest in Samsung products! Your inquiry is very important to us and I will be more than
happy to answer your question.
Silver Care is permitted for non commercial residential use only, due to the bacteria in the septic system. It is
safe to use in septic systems for residential use only.

The silver ions that are emitted into the water kills bacteria. Bacteria is needed within your septic tank to breakdown the organic waste.
So, in my opinion, Samsung's units with SIlver Care should not be used in a home that has a septic system. At least not until Samsung comes up with a way were the owner can permanently remove the Silver Care bar.
In fact I've read on other internet sites that Samsung Australia recommends that home owners with septic tanks not use their Silver Care products.

4 Tips for a healthy septic tank system

Living in a rural area and not having a connection to the sewage systems like houses in the cities or suburbs can make waste disposal a little difficult. That's where septic tanks come in they are made to take care of your sewage but if not cared for properly can result in a huge mess and stink. Following these 5 simple tips can help to keep your septic tank running properly and trouble free.

1. Keep rain water away
Make sure that you level the land around the tank so that rain water is diverted away from the tank. If you get too much water into the drain field it will become too soggy and won't neutralize liquid waste.

2. Trees mind their distance!
When trees grow too close to the septic tank their roots can cause damage to the system. A good rule of thumb is to not have any trees closer than 100 feet from the tank.

3. Toilet etiquette
This rule seems to be very obvious, you shouldn't be sending anything that shouldn't be going down the toilet must not go down the toilet. Things like wipes, or sanitary napkins and tampons will clog the septic tank and then you will have a big problem before you know it.

4. Stay away

For the system to function properly you have to make sure that it stays clear and undisturbed. This means don't drive over the drain field or build anything on top of it. Even pouring concrete or asphalt is a no, no.

If there is a problem with your system make sure to call an expert to come and look at it, under no circumstance should you open the tank yourself, there are harmful gases and bacteria in that require you to wear special gear.

Is is possible to make a full flush toilet from an American Standard Cadet 3. The toilet is on a septic system and does not have the power to move waste all the way to the septic tank.

If your toilet is not moving waste all the way to the septic, then there may be a blockage in the waste line or it may not be plumbed correctly. There is no reason why you should not be able to make a full flush on septic. I have live on septic for many years and it should flush as well as living in the city. Is your water supply nice and strong? This sound like a gravity issue with the waste line or a blockage, If you can get under your house and see how the waste line is run, that would be helpful, it should be aimed straight down underneath your toilet and never running uphill at any point on the way to the septic tank. Also is there a vent in the waste line at the proper distance. If not, that could also be the issue. Good luck. P.s. does your septic tank need pumped out?

Odor is present within washing machine. It smells stale.

Run a load of whites and make it fairly strong with bleach. Bleach is essentially nothing more than chlorine (sodium hypochloride). It kills bacteria very efficiently and will kill the bacteria causing the smell in your washer. I do this at least once per month to keep the system cleaned out and I don't have a smell even if my wife forgets to take the load out for a long time. Beware, however, that if you have a septic system, the bleach may kill off the good bacteria that digest the nasty stuff in your septic tank and drain field. Thus, it's always a good idea to add septic system bacteria once a month. You simply flush it down the toilet. You don't need to worry about this if you are on a public sewer hookup. Hope this helps.
