This could mean the power button is defect. Or a cable inside the tablet. Perhaps you better visit a phone repair store, and let them check. Before you let them repair, ask what it will cost you!!!!!!

Asus zenpad10 tablet stuck in fastboot mode

KEEP HOLDING THE POWER BUTTON UNTIL YOUR PHONES SWITCHES OFF OR PULL OUT THE BATTERY DIRECTLY(If Required) to exit the FAST BOOT MODE and then start your phone normally by pressing only the power button.

Also in case you were trying to enter the recovery mode to wipe cache or hard reset then keep holding the power button and volume DOWN button until you get vibration and release the power button and keep holding the volume DOWN button to enter RECOVERY.

How to reset, when my android zeepad won't work by holding start and volume same time, nor does the reset button do it

Many people say to push and hold down the Volume(+) and Power button at the same time. Push and hold for as long as twenty seconds until you see a green android with green text.

But, on some devices and some Android O/S versions it takes pushing and holding the Volume(-) and Power button and holding them both down for twenty seconds or so or until you see the green Android and text screen. This will show the Wipe Data/Factory reset option. Select this option by scrolling using the Volume(+) button and engage using the power button. Some devices give you a second screen with a list of *no no no no no* and one line of Factory Reset. Again, scroll to the Reset option using the Volume(+) option and select it using the power button.

If the above doesn't work, either your battery is dead or your device is dead.

Shows 99% won't open and can't shut down

You can first try doing what's called doing a Soft Reset. It's the first and preferred method to try as you don't lose any files or settings. Hold the power button until the Nook turns itself off. In most cases that will be twenty seconds or more. Then turn the power back on by holding the power button down for about two seconds. Hopefully this will allow you to complete a normal boot process. The second and more dramatic way to get a working Nook back is what's called doing a Hard Reset. This process will put your Nook back to "Just Out of the Box" mode. You will lose any files and settings stored internally inside the Nook itself. The good part in all this is it won't touch anything stored externally on your external SD Cards. To do a Hard Reset Turn the NOOK off completely. Hold the Power button and Home (n) buttons. The device will turn on. Continue to hold both buttons until the device shuts off once again (~15-20 seconds). Turn the device on normally. It will prompt for a factory reset. Press the Home button twice to confirm. ------- The important part in the above is to be sure you start the Nook via holding down both the power button and the Home (n) buttons at the very same time and keep them both pressed down until the Nook turns itself off.

I have a trio stealth tablet and i locked myself out by fogetting the password, ive tried to factory reset it by holding down power button and volune up buttkn till boot menu comes up but it never gets...

Restart the device and power it on while holding the power button and volume down until the boot screen clears, keep holding the volume down key as this will allow you to get to the root settings and wipe/cache partion resets and delete user install data. :-)

To perform a factory reset, unplug the Kurio and turn it off by holding the power button for 5 seconds until the screen displays "Power Off, Shutting Down..." Once the device is off, press and hold the volume down button and power button at the same time until the screen lights up with "KD Interactive."

Ipad won't turn on. Worked fine last night, got down to about 5% battery left. Plugged in overnight and it won't turn on. Tried different power cables, no success. Tried plugging into PC no luck. ...

You could try a hard reset.

Hold down the power button and the home button at the same time until the device completely shuts down and the Apple logo appears.

Hope that helps!

Kindle Fire

Press and hold the power button for fifteen seconds or so. If it prompts whether you want to shut down, ignore it and keep the power button pressed until it shuts off. Release the button, then press and hold for a second or two until it starts to reboot. Does it reboot and operate normally now?
