It seems that everything on the phone works except the display. So can't really use it in its current condition since I can't see anything in the display. This condition happened once before, but it eventually went away.

the screen will need replacing but if the phonr has been dropped it migh just have slipped of the connectors this is a job for a phone shop as you can damage the phone further buy taking it apart cus the static in your body will blow the circuits it should be cheap to repair and even a new screen can be cheaper the replacing the phone hope this is some help to you...........................

user screen cable is mis placed. its not much big problem.. open the screen urself and adjust it ( is like plug-in)

Your screen's wire in the phone was most likely diconnected from a fall or many falls. the front screen sounds like the same thing.

dear,
the flip and slide phones have these kind of issues. the strip that connects the screen to the circuit board is either fully or partially broken. check it by some repairman and if it is slightly broken, maybe he will repair it to less cost.
the breakage also depends upon the rough usage of slide/flip function of mobile.

I have this same problem. I went to Verizon and they told me that the phone is not repairable so i need to buy a new one. I told them to ********! Now i lost all my pics, contacts, and videos. This was in 2007 and since then i never went back to Verizon. They just steal your money in a way!
