The lock button on my Ainol Novo 7 Paladin Tablet refuses to unlock the touch screen when pressed
I have tried pressing the + volume & the on button then releasing the on button when the icon appears, which should show a menu that you can go through to do a factory reset, but that did not work, which was suggested by one of the helpers on your site. I'm sure that the Tablet is Ok, it charges, the time is working, when it is on and press the M button the icons appear but because the touch screen is locked I can't get started, very frustrating when the lock button is on the screen and it won't unlock for me, I have tried other combination button presses with no luck ???

Are you sure it is the port that needs fixed, or is it your usb cord you plug into? If it is the port you need to send the tablet in for a technition to repair. First try a new charger or usb cord and see if it works.
Sounds like it is not charging.
The unit will power on momentarily if low batter but power off straight away
Get an electrical competent person to check the output of the power unit or use know good unit.
You'll need to do a factory reset: 1.
With the device off, press and hold Volume
Up and Power.
2.
Release the Power button when you see the logo, but continue
to hold Volume Up until the recovery screen appears.
3. Use
the Volume buttons to navigate the menu and select wipe data / factory reset. Press Home to choose the selection.
4.
Press Volume Up continue.
This will reset you device to factory settings, however
anything on your SD card will still remain.
At this point you will need to start fresh as if you just
bought the device -- register with your email address, etc.

I have same problem as you have: the on /off switch completely not work . It cannot start only way use the reset pin then cannot off.Mine also has freezing problem.I went to setting then go to factory reset erase all my data. The freezing gone but the on / off switch still not work then I think this could hardware problem. Only way is open it up.Since this is a traumata act I have to use as the last act.Meanwhile I set the display screen close in 2 minutes when want to stop it.Any one here have any better idea please help.
